That was funny but sad at the same time, I remember seeing SWG fanfests (not post NGE summits) where they had halls in Las Vegas packed and people were in long queues just to ask a DEV a question. Even the summit just after the NGE had plenty of people, mostly VETs hoping for a rollback. That hall had something like a player to DEV ratio of 4 to 1 at most, maybe even 3 to 1, that's just sad and I don't see what the point is in holding these summits anymore? When like only 20 people turn up, you've got to know you're in trouble. The last EVE fanfest was in Iceland and half of their subs are mining bots, still they probably had more people using the Gents at anyone time than SWG had at their entire summit. If ever there was a time for a drastic change to SWG it's now, in my opinion.

I've had busier Tuesday nights hanging out at a coffee shop with friends. Next year it'll probably be held in the back of a van in the SoE parking lot :P |

A few days after they opened registration on the website, they announced that the booking was full. From what I understand though from reports of people who attended, as is usually the case there were people that booked and never showed up. |

Originally posted by Obraik Obraik, I want to ask you a serious question... Do you work for SOE in some capacity? Do you work with the SWG developers? Is there ANY connection that would personally link you to these people? I really am serious... Every bad step this game, the developers, and SOE take, you defend. You defend what often really has no defense. You go out of your way to basically defend and often misrepresent issues related to this game, the developers, and SOE. I really do hope you work for SOE. I hope they allow you free game time, I hope they actually pay you. If you do not work for them, on this game in some capacity then I have no clue how to explain you... You're the absolute worst fanboy in this history of video gaming. That is IF you don't... Like I said, I REALLY hope you get perks from SOE for the work you do on the forums. You post like someone who essentially does PR for a company. It only makes sense if you are actually an employee, and like I said, in the off-chance you are not an employee and just a gamer, who pays monthly, you have incredible issues. Admit you work for SOE, why hide it? We enjoy the lively debate all the same. Tecmo Bowl. |

lol, Obraik just fess up on this one, look over the previous meet & greets, none have been as small as this one and they doubtless had the same problem with cancellations even at the first one, shit it's no wonder SOE forgot to lay a table for the SWG attendees at the fan faire last year. ...The spread of secondary and latterly of tertiary education has created a large population of people, often with well developed literary and scholarly tastes, who have been educated far beyond their capacity to undertake analytical thought. |

Obraik admit it or you are working for SOE or you have 5000 accounts by your self to support this game from destruction. |

Ease up everyone. We all know that there were tons of fans there, but you just couldn't see them in that photo. Most of them were out in the field doing quests. The convention center is so big that people don't flock to the hot spots like they used to in the old days. Everyone is spread out now and not the actual dev chat outpost.
Seriously though, I have found some things Obriak has said to be enlightening. Sometimes though he says things like this that just don't make any sense at all. Even if people who signed up and didn't show the size of the room tells the whole story. There are maybe 10-12 tables in total, counting the empty ones.

Originally posted by Obraik Regardless of the accusations being thrown around about who is or who isn't a paid employee of SoE your original comment here was regarding the full booking of this event. Do you not see how these pictures inply a poor showing regardless of the full booking - and what was the capacity for that booking anyway? Your comment appeared to be very misleading IMO as you never awknowledged the capacity nor had you awknowledged the lack of people in those pictures - expecially compared to past events. |

One of my guildmates was actually there, there were about 40 players at the meeting. I ask you how honestly how many people would drive for hours, or fly to San Francisco for a 3 hour meeting for any game? |
