Conan is not worth the investment.

Ask yourself one question before forking out 2000 dollars...

What is the gameplay behind the pixeled tits?

Sorry but that is your own opinion, and it's obviously flawed and skewed. You have no right to tell someone what they should and should not play or like. You do have the right to base your opinion, and back it up with words. It's too bad you are unable to do that.

As for the OP I suggest not going to a site such as the one you linked unless you are unable to build your own computer. There are a lot of websites out there that can help you build your very first computer, and I highly recommend doing so, mainly because it's a lot of fun. If you're still unable to build your own, You might as well just goto some place like www.alienware.com  . They are expensive but they build quality computers, they look damn sexy too.

As for specs, I recommend getting:

    1. intel motherboard that supports  core2duo AND their quad, SLI ready, PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot is a good idea to have also.

    2. Highest availabile ram that the motherboard supports, make sure the latency is low 4-4-4 is good.

    3. 8800 GTS is a cheap yet very effective video card. Make sure you know what brand and specifications come on the actual card, as it varies by the maker.

    4. Good power supply! I can't stress enough how a good Power supply can affect your system, specially when you are running multiple HD's or using SLI. If you are using only a single video card I recommend anywhere from 500-650w power supply. 750w for SLI. Remember, cheaper isn't always better, specially when it comes to power supplies.

    5. Having multiple Harddrives is a plus, but not mandatory. a lot of high end gamers use atleast 2 harddrives, one is their "main" drive which is usually a lot bigger in size. Then they have a smaller faster harddrive that is used for gaming.

    6. Last but definitely not least, Make sure you have ample ventilation and cooling in your computer. A hot system can and will fry itself overtime. It may look like it is alright, but slowly the heat will destroy parts of your system.

Hope some of these helps you, I wouldn't take anything I said as the the best advice, but for someone who is just looking for a good computer to play games, this is a very good start.

On a serious note, Please remember that nvidia has a way of making their cards "seem" better by adding a high number AKA 7000 series 8000 series 9000 series. This is true to a certain point, but you need to remember what # comes after. Take for example the 8600 card and the 8800 card. if you look at the standard specifications of both cards they look almost identical. but if you look deeper you'll see that the 600 series is a value card that cuts a lot of corners and has bottlenecks and lower overall performance.

This  holds true for the 9600 series card also. They are priced very low for a reason. A 8800GTS or GTX is going to have superior performance over a 9600 card. As for the 9800 Series, I am still not sure, I hear a lot of conflicting stories and that the drivers are still too unstable.

All in all, I recommend a 8800GTS or if you can afford it go for a GTX. Just please, stay clear of anything that says (600) in it, unless you only want a low range card.

If you need any other help, just ask. I'm sure others will point out some of the flaws in my post as i'm sure it wasn't perfect, hopefully someone else will add some more input.
