Just to change up the currant popular topic a bit.

AoC comes out in a few days people.  And it will probably be at least three months before WAR comes out or has “open” beta.

That gives the “going to try both” people at least three months to check out AoC.   I’m very psyched to check them both out.

And if I end up liking them both, I’ll probably do a rotation plan, going one or two months on one, then the other, so I only pay one sub at a time.

Anyways, see you all on the 17th.

Forum Poll

Are you going to try them both?

Yes I'm going to try both at least for a month.
Can only afford to buy one of them
The one I'm not playing is going to suck
I'm too obsessed to play more than one, I play at least 10 hours a day eight days a week.

Behold! Rash of the Itch King comes in November! Quake in fear!

I'm in dire need of a new comp. AoC releasing first actually works out quite nicely for me, because now when I order a comp with the intention of being able to run AoC, it should have no problems running WAR beautifully. I'm giving AoC a spin only after a month or so has passed, I don't trust all this pre-launch hype. I think I'll like WAR more but I hope both succeed to break WoW's iron grip.

MMORPG Character Monuments

I think Funcom should Kiss G. W. Bush on the lips for coordinating the Economic stimulus package with AoC's release

Both games have good developing companies behind them and both are build on strong IPs.

The quality of both games will be high but they are also very different games both in gameplay and content.

I honestly think people should try out both and then play the one where they have the most fun. The two games will create wastly different game experiences and they shouldnt really compete with each other since they cater for such different audiences.

Its more interesting what effects the two games combined can have on WoW? People say WoW is beginning to feel old and tired, if that is true then these games might just attracts a wast player base. Otoh I fear that many people who leave wow wont even start playing another mmo again. They will just quit.
