"You are a twatwaffle"

This is an MMO with gratuitous violence and nudity.  Chopping off heads and watching them fly through the air, like come on how can it fail?

Grand Theft Auto is into its 4th version and people keep gravitating to it.

Sex, violence, throw in some substance abuse and maybe some RPing lap dancers and you have yourself one hell of a great time and a whole lotta people wanting to pay to play.

If it is going to fail it will be on technical problems, not content or story.  So far the technical stuff seems to be coming along really well so I think we have a winner.

Most people will complain on the forums and in-game, say they aren't renewing, spam vanguard 2.0.

We all know it. If you've played addictive MMO's, you know this one will not be addictive. It will just be "oh this buggy piece of ****" every 5 minutes all over your ventrilo/ts/whatever.

AND MY GOD IS THE PVP BORING! No risk... no balls. no rush!

See you all in a month when every mmo forum post that bears the word AOC is followed by someone quoting saying "lol aoc".

Making posts like this will not help.  You've posted no data other than  hear-say and rumor.  Yea, we'll see in a month.

You know WoW only has 4 million Active and Trial Subscriptions right?  Majority of those are Trial subs, they still count as a subscription.  China has another 4-5 million subscribers (active and trial).

Go back to raiding Blackfathom keep and we're going to be doing something else much better.. :)

You can't go wrong with Sex and Violence mixed in.

Take a look at Blizzard's financials.  You are sadly mistaken saying that the majority of those are trial accounts.  Blizzard has entirely too much cash on hand and earned revenue for those to be trial accounts.  Blizzard is now a BILLION dollar a year company.  I want you to think about that.  Blizzard is a BILLION dollar a year company.  No other MMORPG.com company does a BILLION a year.  Not EA, Not SoE, Not UBI, not any of them.  A BILLION dollars is a lot of revenue.

here's my basis:  Whenever you hear how many subscriptions WoW has, it's always in this Context "8 million subscribers"  Ok...

For one, Blizzard is owned by Vivendi.  And Blizzard is not a Billion dollar a year franchise.  Also, Vivendi and Blizzard is not Publically traded, so they can pad their numbers as much as they want.  I honestly doubt they have 8-10 million "ACTIVE" subscribers.  and by Active, I mean Active.  Here's my logic to this.  You remember Prince's Musicology tour a few years back.  yea.  you got a free CD when you went to the concert.  Guess what, that Free CD you received COUNTED as record sales.  Yup.  So, consider this.  The Free CD is a trial Account.  That Account is created, that's what Blizzard uses to pad their numbers.  I want actual active subscriptions.  Accounts that are being used right now.  I also want to see financials from Vivendi and Blizzard in order to prove these numbers.  Otherwise, I'm going to have to say Hogwash on the 8-10 million subscribers.  Sure World of Warcraft is popular, because it's so easy a 4 year old can play it.  It's ok that you don't get the complexities of actually having to use skill as a way to win fights now.

LOL, you need to go to school and learn what GAAPs are.  Don't keep opening your mouth and digging a deeper whole.  If you want I can dig up the numbers and definitions of what Blizzard calls a subscriber.  Like it or not, Blizzard is a BILLION dollar a year business.  They have more revenue streams than just WoW.  I wonder why when Vividi bought Activision it wasn't called Vividi Activision but Activision BLIZZARD.  Activision put in $1 BILLION dollars and Blizzard put up $2 BILLION for the merger.  Notice it wasn't Vivendi that put up the money but BLIZZARD.  Where do you think Blizzard got $2 BILLION cash for the merger?  Blizzard prints their own money with all the games they have.

Blizzard doesn't take a crap without checkign with Vivendi first.  Keep in mind that Vivendi OWNS Blizzard, lock stock and barrel.  So again, don't open your mouth unless you really know what you are talking about.

Let's get this correct shall we.

Vivendi = Parent Company

Blizzard = Child Company of Vivendi

Linkage: news.teamxbox.com/xbox/15203/Activision-Blizzard-Press-Release-Text/

Vivendi (this includes Blizzard) at the time of this writing Dec/07, was worth 8.1 BILLION dollars combined.  Vivendi has a lot of child companies.  Again, this is called Padded numbers and it's something you learn in Business 101, i think the first month you are in Business management.    So what now Shannia?
