The lead Darkfall dev has already stated in a dev journal (2nd page, 3rd paragraph) that Darkfall will have no preorders of any kind so that kinda renders this whole thread pointless. He stated that they are doing this because he feels that everyone should be able to try the game before anyone has to pony up one red cent for it. Bren while(horse==dead) { beat(); }

I will generally pre-order any game i like the look of , why because I can. This game falls into that category money is not an issue. I was curious if people were itching to preorder. I do not plan to do so.

Mind you, it's really refreshing to see a company that is not begging/bribing it's followers (with special mounts) to pre-order a product that no-one has tried yet (in it's finished form). Every one of us has bought games that have turned out to be a waste of money. That you get to try Darkfall before you buy gives Aventurine brownie points. If they started offering special mounts with pre-orders I would be really worried about the quality of the gameplay.

Biggest disappointment of all was their "Guild Beta" sign up event that proved to be just more hype for this game that turned out to be nothing.
