Very nice. I assume Auran knows that internet gambling is illegal in the United States. So, they better ban Americans from wagering, or they just may have some problems. Heheh, getting R.I.C.O. violations on top of bankruptcy would be hilarious.

You are putting real money up on the chance you can win someone elses' real money through your "skill". Guess what, poker, blackjack, baccarat, and other games are played the same way. It's called gambling.

Having a tournament where all of the prize money comes from the devs/publishers/etc. does not fall under gambling, as you are not risking anything but your time and skill.

Having tournaments where the prize money comes from wagers of other players is gambling.

Wrong. You've obviously never played or been invited in a sportclub cause nobody likes you but that's how it's done. At the end of league play the winnings are divided among players. You think 99% of the hobbyists winnings from little league to bowling, races to all types of tournaments across america and elsewhere are payed by sponsors, get real.

Technically then those sports are gambling but they have the ability to deny it since they have sponsors who may or may not contribute to actual money the players get. Whenever money that's purely generated by the participants is made as prize that is gambling. Now depending on if this gaming company has checked out the legality of what they're going or if there are any loopholes to exploit problems may arise. I doubt anything will happen unless an individual who is determined to bring this game down reports it to the proper authorities. Besides all the legal junk this seems like a good chance to crank up the competion between players by putting real world money at stake.

Give me a break, this game is nowhere near being a "sportclub", more like an e-peenfest with wagers ( wager=bet=gamble, for the simple minded among us ), perhaps you should read the quote in my first post).

And you frankly don't need to believe me, and Auran doesn't need to prove anything to me either. But then again, I'm not part of the gambling commision, either.

And if someone like myself, a regular Joe Schmoe, is taking notice of this newest gaming venture of Aurans' you can bet any authorities interested in such things will be even more so.

Maybe I'm wrong, which would be good for a continually losing company like Auran.

But if I'm right, I won't rub it in. I will just be laughing my ass off. And not because I'm a troll, according to you. But because it will indeed be hilariously funny.
