From reading the article it appears that this is focused primarily on the US, am I right? If so, then it's quite telling that even City of Heroes has more subscribers than any single SOE game. How is it that Smedley and others continually refer to SOE as a leader in the industry? I mean hell, it's been at least a year since I last logged into City of Heroes/Villains and even then it seemed like the game was vacant on the Justice server. |

Well this should finally put to rest the idea that SOE is a "market leader" in the mmo industry. lol...they can't even get one of their games into the top five.

I've played WoW and currently play CoH. I think both of these are simply fun and work well. My kids have played runescape, and loved it, but now play CoH also. I've heard great things about runescape from them though. They had a ball. Smed keeps searching around for the magic marketting format or target group to get the big bucks. Just make the damn games work, make them fun and stop lying to people. Can't see the forest for the trees that guy. |
