So if they believe AoC such a great game then why not prove it and let everyone into beta to get a sample before they decide to purchase it?  After reading all the problems concerning performance issues I feel that Funcom wants to keep it to themselves that their game will test your system to it's limits and hope that many people just go out and buy the game before finding it out the hard way. 

I know that not releasing a game in an true open beta doesn't always mean that their is some confidence issues in the game, but I just have that feeling for this one.

 

Nonetheless, the player built cities in the last newsletter looked amazing.

Do you know how much strain it will put on there servers?

Please man,think before you post,its obvious why they not allowing everyone on the beta

Stop asking about what the game is gonna be like and wait for it to arrive

None of us can look into the future and say "yes its ok,buy it" so its worthless to ask

They already gave all the free keys. You should have been faster.

The thing is...they don't really owe you anything and beta is for testing purposes. If you don't wan't to buy this game blindly, wait for the release and read few reviews or wait for a trial key.

You're right.  That's what I'm planning on doing at this point.  I just don't have it in me to buy MMOs blindly after the stinkers that have been released lately such as TR and VGSoH.  But do you think a trial key will be released anytime soon?  I don't see it happening for a long time.

Yes we can't really know when the Trial will be introduced into the game.

Nothing official but I'm guessing a few months after release. If you can't wait to play it I'm sure that sites like Gamespot and IGN will have both professional reviews of the game and user made reviews so you can judge the game by that.
