Just downloaded the new patches for OB, and I...I...don't know what to say...vast improvement...makes me want too.. /sniff   Excuse me, I have something in my eye...

Hardly any stuttering.  Very fluid motion now.  Up until this point, quite frankly, the performace made me want to vomit.  Two thumbs up for the performance fixes.

I have a very good rig too (quad core, 4GB, 8800GTX), and the performance and crashes made it unexceptable and just about unplayable before these patches.  Now, the only problem I seem to have is everytime I bring up the system menu (with Esc), it actually crashes, with the Funcom error reporting window appearing.  Sometimes I can continue with the game, sometimes not.  I'm sure that will be fixed as well.

Ok, enough of this, back to testing a game I can actually test now.  Again, super improvement Funcom.  Thanks.

the patch did amazing things to my prefomance as well.

from running the game on low-medium with FPS drops,i can play it now on HIGH with x8 AA...

my spec is e6600 8800gts 640 MB 2gb RAM vista32bit

Crap, well I wish I was getting a decent download rate for the patch. I've got a 500kbs connection, but the bandwidth is terrible right now, I'm only getting 10-50 kbs...*drums fingers impatiently* Come on ya SoB!

yummy patch when it comes to performance for me too.

Can run through Tortage now with just a little HD load once in a while.A lot better than before but there is a tons of bugs they need to get rid of.

I am still patching, but from browsing a few forums I've seen a lot of people happy about this patch. I haven't had too many problems at all, but I'd love to have *zero* problems after this patch. We'll see.

The thing I'm most excited about is that all characters level 2 and up will be brought to level 20 tomorrow instead of just level 13 characters. This is good for those of us who were late coming to the open beta :).

Confirmed...

8800GTX maxed up (- bloom) at 1900x1200, used to gert around 40-50fps outside and 30 fps in tortage with hickups. After patch, outside = 50-90fps, tortage 40-50 in crowded areas.

Very promising.

Meh, all the official interviews that came out after the OB said flat out that there were bugs introduced in the OB code that hadn't been there. They're gone, let's move on. For once I'd like to hear something about this game besides performance issues.

And yes, I know how hard it is to play a game when lag and such is bad. I played AO from beta II phase up until a couple months after Shadowlands.

Ive always said it. Debugger, older patch version. Makes the game laggy as hell. 10mins left til i can try it and feel what the game is all about without 10fps xD

And uh, seems the level cap is gone. Figures someone will take level 40ish under this day rofl. I'd love it. To try out the crafting :p
