About Time they have the servers merge. i'm going to get back on planetside and see if it really helps or if its still going to be dead. i love the game so much but so many people quit .

I think a major gripe is that sniping someone in the face with a rail bolt should be instant kill.

I was fine with sniping except for that part which meant snipers only went for body shots.

BFRs assisted in killing the populus. I much prefered tanks, gals, reavers, and transports. If they were gonna add mechs, they shoulda made them the size of Aliens loader.

Yeah I quit when bfrs came out. They need to ad a classic Planetside server.

Why do folks think BFRs are game imbalancing?  They are the only unit in the game that becomes totally paralyzed with one action (getting hit by an emp grenade), and that has specific elements that may be targeted (shield gen, movement servo, arm weapons).  It is a big walking achilles heel that can be gotten only once every 30 minutes.  Qualifying for one is a pain in the ass (75 cave kills and 5 contested cave base-caps) and requires too many Cert points.

One softie can take out a BFR.  Two or three softies working together can easily take out a BFR.  That is, if the BFR is stupid enough to stray far from his allies.

I love my BFR.  When I checked out Planetside, the Mechs were a big reason why I subscribed.  They looked so cool on the video.  And early on, I would get terrified when seeing an enemy BFR; and excited when seeing one of our own.

The Gal Gunship, however, was pretty rediculous.  I have no problem making them invincible as they were pre-nerf, but don't do so by making them GD damage-resistant!  And don't make them so damn easy to get (3 cert points) ; with no weaknesss whatsoever, and only a GD 5 minute respawn timer.

Ya I'm so glad they nerfect GGs.  If they want to add bad-ass original GGs as an option, go ahead, but you better make it like the long road to getting a BFR; and they'd better add an achilles heel.

BFR's could have been ballanced without nerfing their firepower or armor, by simply making them very slow, like star wars walkers.  But you all asked for the wrong kind of nerf, so the BFR's became equivalent to tanks (redundant).  Tanks which give you a headache to shoot from cause they shake so much when trying to aim.

Game developers listen to the wrong customers.

But when i installed PS and tried to log in it told me to subscribe.  I was so looking forward to it that i subscribed anyway

Pops have really gone up, will be fun until AoC released.

I was playing on the Emerald server on Friday and there were 2 pop locks at the same time !!! Now that has not been seen for a very very long time.

If your a vet then I would strongly suggest you come back and see massive battles like we used to have in the early days.

Oh and don't be worrying about BFRs they are very nerfed and don't really change the gameplay much. They are more tank magnets than anything else :)
