I swear they just keep making this game more enticing every month!
this whole guild system is awesome! my experience with mmo's is a little bit too limited to know if this is an original idea or not but if it is- wow. major kudos |

For those who want to appreciate these new ideas, I congragulate you, I think this will be pretty interesting. For those who want to keep calling this a WoW clone, go ahead, I can keep laughing for a long time. |

While the idea of living supergroup (guild) was touched on very lightly in CoX, I like the Mythic take on things and I am very much looking forward to being part of a living guild. Implementing these ideas will take realm pride to an entirely new level. |

Mythics other game DAoC has all of the castle things in it. When your guild takes over one, your guild crest appears on all the banners and the NPC's all wear your emblem. DAoC did not have "guild levels" however. If your guild took the keep, it was yours for as long as you could hold onto it. The guild levels part, a few MMO's have that. EQ2 and Lineage 2 pop right into mind. I don't remember if EQ2's guild levels had any real function but Its been a long time since I played. L2, guild levels were critical especially if you were involved in sieging. Other then that I like the "battle standard". That should be fun. They rolled some good ideas together. |

I really enjoy Warhammer Online Living Guilds. The Grab bag mentioned alliances. Here’s the info: However, my main concern is the bonuses with claiming a keep for your guild. It’s going to be terrible and DRAMA filled if players from the same faction fight with each other over who gets to claim a guild when they should just be focused on beating the other side. |

Originally posted by Battlekruse Yeah that's a small problem, I hope they fix it with a solution such as sharing the guild bonuses between every guild that helped take the keep or rotating through a cycle where each guild has claim for a certain amount of time, maybe depending on which level keep it is. |

Alliances is primarily for smaller guilds i would imagine. My guess would be, that when you create and alliance, you can create a banner or something, that will show at the keeps if your guild claims it. Or, that all the guild-banners are showing at the keep beside each other, so noone feel left outside ;) Drama is allways good.. so if they do something like this or not, im fine ;) |
