Age of Conan

So I started downloading the client yesterday morning. It has now been about a day and a half. Yesterday, after about 12 hours of downloading, it said it had 13 more hours left. I paused the downloader and pressed Play to start it up again, and the timer went from 13 hours to  ~2 days. So I completely closed it out and reclicked the link for the downloader, assuming that since SOE allows you to close out the downloader and resume where you left off, that AoC would be the same. I was wrong, so I ended up losing the 12 hours worth of files.

Okay, so I started it over, sucking it up since getting mad would do nothing and it said I have 1 day 11 hours for it to be downloaded. I wake up the next morning to check on the download, which was this morning and I found out that Windows had a problem and needed to shut down.

Obviously I didn't take this news well and got upset. Now I needed to restart the download, which means another 1 day and 11 hours until I will get to play AoC. I came home tonight to check on the download and guess what...some update or whatever automatically downloaded itself and restarted my computer. So the 14 hours worth of files I had downloaded is gone. Once again, I have to restart the download.

I checked Computer>Program Files for my Age of Conan file and it wasn't there, but for some reason, you can see it when it asked me where I wanted to save the files to when I click on the download link.

Maybe some higher power is trying to tell me something. Also, does anyone elses computer auto sleeps after being off for so long? Mine does and when it does, it also cuts my connection to the internet, so downloading it overnight seems like a wish right now.

I mean what the hell, how about that for bad luck guys? I might have to wait for official reviews to come out after the game is released before I decide to buy it and then use the CD's to download the client.

Oh, and every time I do this, my available hard drive space shrinks, but I find nothing in Control Panel>Progams or Computer>Program Files.

Rotten luck mate! Atleast u got a key to attempt ! Shame the download is crazy....Ya I want to try the beta really bad, but from what i have heard it makes the game seem bad...so i guess ill just wait until 17th 10 days

Yeah that certainly is a slap in the face.

It took me about a day to download the entire thing, and about another 4 hours Downloading Patches/Setup.

And I finally thought i'd get to play, But i open it, log in, and it wants to check all 15.9G of Data. so I let it, it takes about 12 hours.

After its done, AT LAST I GET TO LOG ON!

Oh wait, no I don't, It wants to check all 15.9G AGAIN!

So I let it, and guess what?!

It still wants to check the 15.9G.....

and the best part is, now when it tries to check, it usually fails, and asks me to send in a crash report.

I Think i'm done trying.

I would try to make a separate folder for the download.  For some reason it detects the files better.  Though I did download onto my external harddrive.

You all won't freakin believe this. After waking up this morning, I checked on the dowload to see how it was progressing. It said 15 hours until completion. Great, so nothing happened while I was asleep. So I open up Internet Explorer and log onto Yahoo; my computer freezes. I'm about ready to give up. I'm going over to Fileplanet to see if they have a download for me. This will be the last time I try it and then I am writing AoC off until I get some good reviews in after release.
