RATING MMOS:
Don''t rate a game based on what it will be, has been, or what it can potentially be.

I've been told that the treadmill in AoC will be fairly long (WoW and EQ being long).

It's hard to decide which MMORPG to invest 400 hours into, and I want to be very careful.

Will AoC be another endless grind? Will there be a  point when we can just go out and have a good time pvping?

Will it just be another festering cesspool of miserable people who have abandoned their real lives?

Pretty sure their aim was to make it not very much of a grind so that players can enjoy the PvP and endgame content.

Not certain though - but I dont think it will be bad at all. I reached level 5 within just over an hour first time playing - granted thats not a high level but still.

if the environment looks as good as it does in Beta, and the combat is as fun as it sounds in beta and if i have a fun time slaughtering pirates (or whoever i decide must die) with my assassin then i wont give a toss how long the grind is.  WoW was a decent grind but the environment steered me back on track everytime i felt like bailing.  everquest had the opposite effect,  i bailed because of the environment.  i recon AoC might be a little longer grind than WoW but we wont know til everyone reaches 20+

I second you on that! Everquest 2 right? I was turned off by the environment, i didnt feel it gave me much of a direction as to where i was progressing and I ended up quitting although i enjoyed the gameplay.

AoC's environments seem good so far but im at very early stages. Im excited to treck across the landscapes on my mount slicing enemies.

The grind will most likely be abit more than WoW but I dont believe it will be major, this isnt an Eastern MMO.

Many people will be level 80 before the 3 day trial ends if the game is stable enough for people to play. Leveling is a joke.
