This Wednesday at 7pm EST, MMORPG.com will be holding a public test of a new feature. Dynno will be providing the technology that will allow players to stream their gaming live for others to watch.

With a single click, Dyyno lets you broadcast your gameplay (or any other window) live to a potentially unlimited audience without slowing down your PC. Dyyno streams are very high-quality and can be viewed in a web browser.

More on Dyyno here.

Cheers,

well, their site doesn't really say much about the project, I had to figure its like fraps but without the performance loss, and with some broadcasting feature to show it in cells and what not, then again, description is kinda vague.

Want to test it though, might be interesting since fraps requires you to have 2 hds at least in order to record properly.

Sounds like the next wave of voyeurism.

After all is said and done, a lot more will be said than done.

How will content be approved or not? Im thinking AoC and its rating here.

Playing: Age of Conan, Crysis Wars (mod maps), Fallout 3, NWN2 Storm of Zehir
Watching: Doctor Who S4, Stargate Atlantis S5
The views expressed on these forums are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of mmorpg.com which includes punctuation error's and dry sarcastic humour...

I'm thinking AoC and its NDA here. Anybody with this could just start streaming video from whatever beta they are in. How is this prevented? Or are game companies going to have to spend development time putting in code to block this stuff from working in their game?

Goozex.com Try it, you'll like it.

Don't have sigs with a cheerleaders butt swinging in it, or the prudes in the Age of Conan forum section of mmorpg.com will demand the mods have it removed.

Mabye MMORPG.com would go over the videos before they are visible to the public.... or mabye they could block off certain games for the time being.

I share the concerns of other over rating and NDA here.

What will prevent people from showing gameplay of game in closed beta or alpha that aren't suppose to be shown...

What more, it says other window, how will that prevent some people to show unrated stuff that ain,t video game to the possibly unlimited audience?

Gaming is life...

Well, it will be like any of our other content reallly.  Users can post screens or textual descriptions of NDA protected materials and we rely on reports from users and/or game developers to shut off the content and ban the users responsible.  This will be no different.  While someone can start streaming something innapropriate, it will result in a ban and us shutting off the feed as soon as possible.
