So i dont think you shall expect it getting any better before the AoC followers start getting their own act together and let other game boards have their right to existence here on MMORPG.com.

I am still here because I really want to like the game, and in some ways I do but overall it just fell way short of my expectations for the level a open beta should be at performance and quality wise. A few months from now will be a good game if enough die hards keep playing so Funcom can finish fixing all the issues. Right at the moment though it has way too many probelms to make it worth paying  for in my opinion. The release looks to be exactly like AO's, a decent game suffering from a piss poor coding. I can guarantee it won't all get fixed in the next 3 weeks either, too many issues and not enough time.  This sucker is buggier than Vanguard was, of course the gameplay is a hell of a lot more fun than Vanguards too :)

I really want to like the game but Turbine spoiled me with their release. Not that LoTRO was completely bug free but they did raise the bar for what I am willing to shell out cash for, and AoC is miles away from that level of polish yet. The game is pretty and FPS wise I have no problems ( E8400, 8800 GTS, WinXP, 2 gig ram), I like the story line and the voice acting and can live with the loading screens but damn I can't keep the mofo running and the class balance sucks and there are just way too many irritating small and large bugs for my taste.

But my thanks to all the fans who will keep Funcom afloat long enough for them to fix things. In the meantime I will just stick to LoTRO and maybe check this puppy out again in December or January.

  For me it does not matter if this is a old client or not or the lag or the crashes and alot of the other issues I have been playing mmogs since UO and beta testing tons of em since Eq1.I don't judge a game on things like lag and stuttering in beta.I look at the game play and for me I don't like the combat system I don't like the gee this feels like Guild Wars vibe I get from it.If alot of other ppl like it great tons of ppl hate WoW and tons of ppl love Vanguard and Horrizons even to this day it is personal choice.

  Point i am making it with or withouit there usual beta bug issues the client is not going to change enough for me to want to play this as the game is pretty much in a finished state meaning nothing gameplay side is gonna change much nor the instances I don't care if its just till lvl 20 or not.I don't flame ppl for liking the game I flame some of you funcom fanbois who feel the need to go up and arms and bash ppl who don't like the game you call them trolls yet what you do is just as bad just accept the fact alot of ppl aren't going to like this type of game or game play lag or not same as they need to accept you like it.

I have to counter here.  If the game was so good you'd be busy playing it instead of coming here to the forums to read.  Since you are here whining about trolls instead of playing, it speaks volumes.

I have to counter here.  If the game was so good you'd be busy playing it instead of coming here to the forums to read.  Since you are here whining about trolls instead of playing, it speaks volumes.

Negative reviews are actually just as welcomed as positive reviews to those who are on the fence about the game and not playing it right now.   I know this is tough for the diehard fans to hear.

There is no excuse for plain trolling though, and yes there is some of this in the AoC forum.  People just giving 1 line responses that say omg this game is so bad you are all idiots etc...

OP, im not saying you are guility of this, but many AoC fanboys troll on other game forums on MMORPG.COM and bash other games for no reason what so ever, and then end by saying "thank god for AoC" or something to that extent.  So that is why you see equal hostility here.

I'm not saying negative reviews should not appear on these boards. What I'm saying is we need to stop having these trolls keep spitting out these same generic comments that they've heard from someone else. What I want, and I'm sure many others do as well, is discussion on the game play, the mechanics, the story, etc, NOT constant complaints about "omg is this the real client or no? How come I just crashed? Why is this debugger hogging my memory?" etc.

Yes, criticize the game. However, do it with well thought out arguments, not one-liners that have been repeated to death.
