I think they should do this in CGI, because the crappy cartoony graphics are part of WoW's appeal.  Live action does not suit this property at all, as much as the look of the Forsaken seems to have been ripped straight from in front of Bruce Campbell off the set of one of the Evil Dead movies.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

Haha!  They'd have to shut down all the servers to get people to come.

I was thinking something along the same lines, "Forget the fraekin' movie, put that money into a graphics upgrade!" *shakes uncontrollably*.  Hey, is it Alterac Valley double honor this weekend?

The Warcraft story can only be told thru a game not a movie.  no doubt it will be a hit in South Korea and maybe China (Blizzard's advertising is huge there).  300 was an ok Movie and i think the studio that made it would do well to make any big 3d movie projects,

if there was a WoW movie i would see it when its out on DVD at the local store or wait a little longer and sift thru the $5 bin for it

Fantasy movies never really hit the big time until The Lord of the Rings came out. Nothing has ever come close to that 7 years later either.

All it takes is a genuine interest in the movie, and the money to back it, then we will have a movie comparable to the legendary Lord of the Rings. After all of the crap fantasy movies trying to prey on Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, I think people are ready and waiting for an epic fantasy movie that doesn't suck.

Question is, will the director be a real fan of Warcraft like Peter Jackson was for Lord of the Rings? So much depends on that, more than anything else because I doubt cash is an issue.

As far as games turning into movies, I actually really liked Silent Hill, they seemed to have done a good job with it. They are making a sequel for it too.

Movies don't have to be epic to be fun. Unless, of course, you're an elitist.

oh god, if they make a wow movie i will like...kill myself :P the game is good but i would never make a game into a motion picture, expecially not an mmo scince storyline isnt an extremely prevelant part of a mmo since the world is changing all the time.

Games Played: Guild Wars, Runescape, World of Warcraft, RF online, Silkroad online, Knight online, Lord of the Rings online.
