I recently heard that the ability for Orcs to grow as they level would not be in at launch. What do you guys know about this?

actually thats pretty disappointing to me i was really looking forward to that feature. so what about the dwarf's beards weren't they suppose to grow in length or something is that still in?

wow  over reaction   ...  they believe they can do  it  and  their teams what to do the aging process  however  would you rather be able to tell the age of your character from looks  or crap gameplay   ...

i was bummed too when i heard about it  but come on  its a system that no one really needs...just wants

Growth in general isn't in. Guess it got cut out to claim the rest was "Done and only needs polish" :)

It's a big deal. Orcs grow as they become stronger. The bigger they are, the more respected they are. By removing it, you are changing a fundamental part of who they are. It's like making them blue or passive.

gah thats sad it was such a awesome sounding feature. well i hope they're done announcing things that won't make the cut lol.

No if they turned them blue and called them Smurfs then you would be right to complain. Saying they wont be growing bigger is just saying sorry but at this time this bit of fluff feature has been put on the backburner. As they stated in their webcast the problem with orcs growing biggerand dwarves beards growing longer is that they would also need to put in the ability NOT to have these features for people who didnt want their dwarves beard to reach his ankles and the person who liked how big his orc was. They would also need to incorporate a similar aspect for all the other races hmm what would that mean for elves their ears growing longer ? I suspect this feature may be added at a later stage but in order to have the game ready for the new release date. I suspect they dont want t implement brand new fluff features that will incorporate a awful lot of work.

they already said they  CAN do it and they have ideas for the other races  but i mean  its not like this changes the entire gameplay

yeah i wanted it..but  it is just a want (and who knows  might see it in a content up-date or an expansion)
