I now expect a MMORPG to be not only bug free at release but also to be at least playable for the most part in beta. Silly me.

Me as well, jackdog

LotRO also just keeps growing and growing in land mass that can be focused on by the devs because of how well they put the intial game together with little bugs.  There are some bugs at launch, but an mmo is never finished, right

“Game Experience May Change During Online Play” is about ESRB ratings, not changing game content!

The sad thing is, Turbine really did nothing exceptional -- they met expectations.  It only seems so exceptional because so many have under-delivered.

LotRO also gives me that feeling is my chest of excitement when I travel into new places, very and I mean very few games give me that feeling anymore. It is hard to explain why , but it just does. I can't wait for more !

I was in the beta and it didn't do much for me -- perhaps after classes end next week I'll swing through on a trial because, to behonest, I just like good stories ( ' :

LotrO is a game that you can have actual fun in, if your soul purpose for playing a game is to make someone else feel bad, then LotRO won't be your game. There is just to many genuine people playing this game that it casts a golden glow all around middle earth :) .

The People playing LotRO are people who know what an mmo is supposed to be about, enjoy the lore and enjoy being at peace with their inner gaming self.  People will try the game and not like it, that is great , atleast you tried it !

I for one will not preach  about LoTRO , because I think the games success and the games developers can speak better then I can .

I'm a LotrO fan

I was in the Lotro beta. There were a lot of things I liked, some thing I did not like. I only stuck around for a couple of months after beta and just lost interest for some vague reasons I could not really figure out.

Anywho, returned to Lotro with Book 12 and was really impressed with the amount of added content, and even more impressed with Book 13. The game really just gets better and better. Kudos to Turbine. I think I am now in the for long haul (i.e. no going crawling back to WoW with my tail tucked between my legs) and looking forward to Moria.
