WAR (Warhammer Online)

Truth is I haven't really been following either. Now both are getting close to coming out and I'm thinking, "Hmm might as well play one" My question is which one. From what I've heard they appeal to totally different audiences yet I have yet to see which appeals to whom (as I already stated I haven't been following the games that closely so I don't know) If someone could be helpful and please tell me the pros and cons of each game that would be a fantastic help.

Both but wait 6 months so they fix the bugs that all the MMORPG releases have now days.  I guess the fan boys will pay to fix the game so ppl like me can get a finished product someday.

I agree with Elvenangel on this one. Read And/Or watch videos that tells about the game. gameplay videos this far doesnt show much of what the complete version of the game will look like.
Its about what you think will suit you as a gamer.

I´m gonna play WAR, mostly because I love the Warhammer world since years back from the Tabletop. But Conan sure do look nice and with some "new" things in it. But since I have been a Warhammer guy since I was young, WAR is my choice of game.

Appeals to different audiances? I don't know if I agree with that.... Both games are trying to appeal to the PvP type people. Conan with its Border Kingdoms and WAR with its RVR.

Honestly, both games could be great if they get the numbers. If either game doesn't get the numbers, it will suck. For example, WAR has 30 different scenarios. Those scenarios will be empty unless there are great numbers to populate all those scenarios. I wonder if anyone has done the math as to how many people per server are required.

[PVE] + 30*[ppl per scenario] + [RvR] + [PQ] = ????

it seems to me that WAR is going to need ~ 5000 people per server.

As far as which one I am going to play: BOTH! How can you not? I will play ANY game accused of being a WoW clone. :) I will decide for myself which game is better. Look, single player games at roughly $60 per game are expensive. If I can play two MMOs for two months each, I have saved myself roughly $60, assuming I buy 1 single player game per month. Both games look good enough to get my money and I am more than happy to give it to them. :)

Simple, play both.

Or, just play AoC till WAR comes out.  You'll have a least a few months to see whether AoC is for you.

As elvenangel said you won't get much else then biased answers depending on which crowd you ask. I've not been much updated on AoC, so can't really say much on how it will look. However WAR will be mostly aimed at the PvP aspect, so if that's what you want then you should probably read more about it and then make your decision.

As for the OP, try them both and see what you like. You'll have plenty of time to play AOC before WAR.
