I played WoW since release and just quit. I have a very extensive MMORPG background. Pretty much every single MMO since The Realm and Everquest.

Im looking for a new game thats is enjoyable to play. P2P or F2P it doesnt matter.

What im looking for: (Doesnt have to have all or any of these just to see what I like)

1.) I don't mind a grind as long as theres a cool drop system and economy.

2.) Crafting is a plus!

3.) Dungeons and cool bosses are a plus!

4.) Cool item/character advancement system is a plus!

umm..flyff isnt too bad? Jus the grinding might get to you

after a while if you dont have friends and good equips to play with.

Not very good economy and drops anymore..well i think atleast.

They have dungeons and giants for every monster.

Youll b looking foward to the character advancements alot lol.

"As you think, so shall you become"

Everquest 2 is a great of mix of classic and new age gameplay.

Until AoC/WAR comes out and gets good reviews, i'll be playing everquest 2 to bide the time. Its a great game.

You do need a pretty good computer to run it at an acceptable graphics level though :(

MMORPG Character Monuments

...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest...

I agree with the above suggestions of EQ2 and LOTRO. You may also want to go retro and try DAOC.

Good Luck

EQ2 would be my choice until WAR.
It is my choice until WAR.

Have 2 WoW 70s and lots of Alts.
Tired of WoW; good game, but been there, done that.

Have tried EQ2 many times, but got frustrated with it many times.
Now, however :

*  They have fixed Crafting, finally.  All items need to go to Pristine, Rares are returned on failure, and biggest of all, you can recover Green bar losses.

*  I feel like a Hero now.  My characters have enough power that I can Solo or Group as I like.  No longer do I feel like a wimp in need of a crowd to be with me just to survive.

*  Drops in the new Iksar zone are awesome.  Having a grand time picking stuff up and trying to decide what to keep and what to vendor or sell.

*  AA starts early with some real usefull stuff.  Almost too much to choose from.

I can recommend starting with an Iksar Necro.  Has ton's of power.  Pets are useful and hold agro well.  DoTs just rock.  Play on one of the RP servers.  Lots of folks, and fewer sociopaths.

Good Hunting
