Age of Conan

im loving this game. but every one seem to hate it. what gives?

I like it so far. Feels fresh and fun :)

i don't hate it...the game just isn't right for me.

Aside from the graphical errors.....i found the 1-2-3 directional attack fun, even quite refreshing at first, but after a while it started to bore me alot. i got 3 characters, 2x level 8s, 1x level 11....and in the end...i felt very confined to those three buttons...even forgetting at times i had specials to use

i was having trouble. but then o over clocked my q6600 to 3.3 ghz, now it runs great.. flawless

If you are playing a melee class, you will get 2 more directional attacks higher up.  If you aren't using the specials you really are not playing the melee combat the way it is intended.  In the PvP beta at level 20, some of the melee I tried had about 7 different combos with different directionals and effects, this isn't counting auras and buffs they also had.

Thats bull...i know very well how to play the game and the melee classes. I been a tank in EQ2, LOTRO, SWG, and some other games. I am very familiar with melee. But the reason i stated that is because i had no NEED to use my specials...enemies went down real easy. Granted they might tweak difficulties, but all i had to do was see which way he was shielding and spam that direction.
I felt very mind numbed in the end. and no way i would last till level 40 or whichever it is till it becomes more challenging. With me being a casual player,  it would take a while.

And my issues are not system issues. Quest givers causing me to DC, server boots, memory leaks do not sound like system issues on my end. Just because your system is a monster, doesn't mean other peoples systems are crap. Mines more than enough to handle this game at medium settings atm with a very decent framerate.

Personally I will not play the beta that much. Hate to get bored of the game inside the newb area. There is limited how much diversity the characters can feel in one area, much of the same quests, same mobs, etc..
