Shadowbane

I downloaded the file from FilePlanet, but it won't let me install it.  I t says that there is a prblem w/ the installer.  Downloading it again because my search engine said taht the file didn't exist.

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem

or if anyone knows how I can fix this

I have heard the fileplanet client is old or defective so try this one instead. http://www.gamershell.com/download_12979.shtml

Thats the one I downloaded.

Also since you have vista, in the config on the launcher disable the first four options in graphics, as they are unnessary options (these things are done through modern g-cards these days), and will cause your vista machine to crash randomly.

Still having problems..

Tried the other client and it worked fine, and installation and patching went smoothly, but right after I logged in and it said attempting to connect to game server, a sign popped up saying that I had an incorrect client and need the latest client 5.22.8

Whats up with that?

Keep running the patcher, and run as administrator, it'll fix itself in a run or two. Didn't happen to me but did occur to a couple guildies.

I'm having the same problems also....all the downloads went off without any problems. But...it just won't patch and keeps telling me I need the latest version. Here's what I keep getting, and see all the errors:

I've tried patching 5 times now and keep getting the same thing. Guess I'll keep messing with it and try to solve the problem.

Well, after fiddling with it somemore here's what I've got now.

When I go to log in now, I get the sb.exe error.

I'm running a Intel Core 2 Quad Processor, 3072MB, 720GB Hard Drive, NVIDIA 8500GT, Vista OS....and I can run SWG, Everquest, Guild Wars, WoW with everything maxed (or at least close to it)...but I can't get this one to run.

Five hours of fiddling around with folders, changing security settings, etc....I think I'll hand back in my Rocket Scientist Degree.
