Star Wars Galaxies

Hello all. I haven't played since 2005, but have been playing a vet trial this past week. I relearned the UI, figured out the nge expertise system, and am quite enjoying the legacy quests, but where are all the player hot spots? Mos Eisley has quite a few people in it, but none of my level or that are doing the quests I am doing. Is there a LFG system that I am missing? I'd resubscribe for a bit , but  I do not play online games to play solo and watch others run past me on their own missions. A good LFG system would be a real boon to this new (to me) version of SWG.

They are supposed to be putting a lfg system in game soon I heard but unfortunatly it wont change things for you , the game has very few players left .

There are only a few servers with any appreciable player population (still considerably lower than pre-NGE), so if you are unfortunate enough to be on one of the ghost servers, you will be out of luck. A 'cool, new' grouping (LFG) tool will be added in several weeks, but that will only help players on moderately or better populated servers. You have a few choices.....reroll a toon more populated server like Bloodfin or Bria, fork over the transfer extortion fee to move a beloved toon to a more populated server or cancel.

As mentioned, there is a pretty decent LFG system coming to the game in the upcoming chapter 10.  Currently, Eisley and Restuss are the two big hotspots for most servers but as you noticed, Eisley is more beneficial for those that are in the early levels and Restuss is best for those looking for PvP. 

I would recommend looking through your servers forum on the Official forums in search of a guild or other community type things, at least until Chapter 10 arrives. 

Well I play on Starsider, because I like both RP and JTL and that server has always seemed to suport both. Also sony makes difficult to find PA's for returning vets because you cannot  post on the swg forums. I currently play ddo and sony could take a page from their book on LFG interfaces imo.

I'll check out the PA's on the Starsider forum again, but most require a full subscription to join from what I have seen. If it doesn't work out *shrugs* I guess I'll continue to play ddo and wait for my next vet trial to check out the new LFG system. Thanks for the replys.

This is the recently un-stickied PA thread from the Starsider forums, http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/posts/list.m?topic_id=590330.  They refresh the sticky every couple of months, with the last refresh being yesterday so the current stickies will be a bit empty.  Browse through the list and see what's available.  As for them only accepting paying members..no need to mention that to them ;)
