So I called EB/Gamestop and the guy said he thinks that only collectors edition preorders can get the early access card/code, is this true or is it supposed to be for both collectors edition and regular edition?

At least according to the website you should be able to get it with the standard version also. So he's probably just the usual ignorant Gamestop employee.

when I put in pre-rder for the CE via Gamestop.com, they weren't even offerring the head-start.  Upon hearing about it being offerred by Amazon.com, I quickly went to Gamestop.com to check if they were doing ti as well.  It listed it only on the info page for the regular edition, and not on the CE page.  I sent them an email asking if it was going to be with both the CE and regular, and was told yes, both editions would get the headstart.

I'd say either your local store is doing it differently from Gamestop.com (which I highly doubt) or the employee was talking out of his/her backside (which I highly suspect)!  Next time you call or visit the store, ask for a manager, hopefully you'll have one working that does know what they're doing.

ballzak, I just pre-ordered the game (normal edition) in an ebgames store and I got my early acces and mammoth code. It was a scatchy thing. So yea I guess it's for both or else the employe from ebgames would have told me.

Going to roll off of this topic but if you order from gamestop.com are they going to mail the early launch packege off any time soon?

They email you the key instead (at least that is what they did with mine)

I had the exact same problem at my local EB store. Apparantly the stores were informed about this but I insisted that they went back and looked a second time and it worked. Now they offer the preorder bonus to all preorders (at least where I live).

The problem now is that they dont know when they will get their preorder keys. Looks like EB has a really poor distribution net when it comes to such things.
