There are a lot of gamers who would like an option to turn off all nudity in Age of Conan, and so I have created an online petition for gamers to sign if you think this is a reasonable suggestion so that the developers can get a sense of the appeal/requests for this.

The game director has said the following:
"we will err on the side of caution in terms of how we display nudity in the game. b) It is up to you what you want to see in terms of violence (fatality deaths) and nudity in the game. I have started a petition to make sure the developers of the game add this option, as having an option to turn off nudity does not affect those who want to experience the game with nudity, and even increases their player base.

Heaven forbid you see someone naked!  Get off your damn high horse.  There is NOTHING wrong with nudity, I have far more concern about the gratuitious violence that is displayed than the chance I might see some boobies.  There is NOTHING wrong with naked breasts, where as I see alot of harm in your blantant suppression of the human body.

I still never got the memo that said it's ok to watch people get mutilated.  Heads chopped off, arms pulled off.  Faces crushed it.  But then again we can't look at beauty.  What is wrong wtih nudity?

It doesn't make any difference to me one way or the other, but consider this:

If you believe the Bible, God made Adam and Eve naked.  They lived naked until they sinned.  The naked body isn't offensive to God. 

As far as the violence goes, the Bible has some pretty violent and gory images in it, including decapatation, murder, torture, etc.  I seriously doubt there's anything in this video game that could possibly top real life history.

Using religion to say AOC is offensive is just hypocritical in my opinion.

maybe the idea was more to not show nudity to very young children? (i still see no harm)

But i can see where an issue might be. Parents have OKed games like grand theft auto because they are to stupid to comprehend what is actually in the game when you tell them:

Partial nudity, drug reference, alcohol use...etc

saying nudity, pffft parents wont understand what that means, to nieve. So even though this thread is retarded. I do see a small backing behind the argument.  But then again it falls on the parents shoulders, and nothing in the game should change IMO.

It's even worse when people use religion to argue against violence considering more people have been killed, tortured, burned, and mutilated in the name of religion than anything else in history.

What is with people freaking out of seeing naked body parts? Grow up it is just a game. If you do not like it do not play it. it is rated m that should tell you it is not a game for kids. there are plenty of other mmo's you can play out there.

whatever happen to the old days where romans watch naked men wrestle and they did not think that was gay? they were proud of their bodies and liked to show off. now we freak out of the littlest things like a girl showing her stomach. she is automatically classified as a slut then. grow up people it is not that big of a deal.

i'm sure the folks that don't want to see nudity are also the same folks that still think bush/cheney are doing a fine job in office.

Nudity and Conan have a long association, when the magazine that had a Conan story inside the cover for that magazine would be artwork of a scantily clad lady (usually chained) with a monster or pirate etc looming over her.

These editions sold many many more copies than norn Conan editions and this was in the 1930-1950's.

So If you don't want nudity or blood go and play hello kitty island adventures or you could go back to watching TV programmes and record how many bad words are said (yes some people actually do a Ned Flanders)
