This is the system I am about to purchase.  I want to make sure it will run AoC "damn well"

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113058

Anyone that knows the spec requirements and knows there way around a gaming rig, please let me know if this is a good choice or not, and what changes you would make if any?

Looking for any input/advice before I plunk down the dough.

Thanks mates!

Thanks!

Would you make any changes to it?  Will the Gateway motherboard be an issue?

The king and the pawn go back to the same box at the end of the day.

It will run AoC fine, on great settings. The only thing I would do is get Vista Ultimate 64bit. Buddy already said it installed without a hitch so that means all the component's work well together. You shouldn't have many issue's. Your in a need situation at this point with a month left so grab it while it's hot.

It will be fine, its an old old 33 . But no worries.

Push comes to shove , buy a new mebo for $90-230 and bingo top of the line system. But this should not be needed.

I agree with alakram; see how other people are running and then buy your new system based on their specs. Also if you can put together the parts yourself you can get a much better machine (quality wise) for the same price or cheeper. I put together a list for you that would leave room for SLI, room for EVGA step up, 8gb of ram and included vista 64bit.

https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Wishlist/PublicWishDetail.asp?WishListNumber=6126574&WishListTitle=For+Whitewolf - $1,055 not including rebates

The ram on the prebuilt system is substandard at 667 mhz, 4gb also isn't needed on the 32 bit OS, the hard drives are kinda old, the mobo is old (yes 750i is a bit old also but its much better then the gateway), and I also worry about higher end OEM video cards.

No prob, I build machines for co-workers all the time so its no biggie; I just wanted to put a nice rig up there for the same price as what you would have spent. Enjoy!
