Do they still have the system where you do not pick your class until level 20?  And you just pick a base class at start? i.e rogue, mage, healer, fighter.

If so, bummer we won't be able to test any of these classes in OB.

The only thing you will be testing in that fileplanet beta other than server stability is the very basic combat and questing ect. You won't be testing sieges or raid content or high end pvp.

The good thing is alot of ppl havent decided on what class to play so you will at least get what sort of class you prefer the most, you will also get used to the basic combat and the starting area's and if like me you are bored out of your mind it will give you something to do until it goes live.

So you pick your class at creation now?  You don't have to wait till 20?

Ask a question and you are stupid for 30 seconds, never ask and you are stupid for life.

I'm interested in this question too, is it level 20 to pick your class or is it at the start?

I did some research, it seems that the Class Tree system is no longer in place - you now choose a class at creation according to http://www.wikiaoc.com/Classes

Wow... that's very interesting...

So these people who are complaining you only get to play 13 levels in the Open Beta (which is simply testing an unfinished game... I dunno why they are complaining anyways) are completely unwarranted? If you can get a feel for each class up to level 13, I think that's great.

Otherwise, oh well. It's testing an unfinished game, not a free trial.

EDIT: After further reading, I'm still skeptical about this. The page says: "This page was last modified 23:08, 16 April 2008."

I wouldn't get your hopes up...

Trust me. You choose your class at character creation.

And if that's not enough, there's always the 19,999 other PVP weekend testers who will tell you the same thng.

Or, you could spend some time on the AoC forums, and read a couple thousand posts on it there.

If you wanted, you could go so far as to take a look at the feat tree calulators, and plan out your entire build ahead of time.
