You know concept art pictures for games. My First question is, what are the main processes you do to get that concept art? My second question is, How do you get the concept art to eventually be a 3d model? Played: WoW, Guild wars, Eve, SWG, and more |

First off you get an artist to draw the art, based off something from the design document (everything is planned out before hand). Then you give the art to a modeller, who models it so it's compatable with whatever engine you are using. (Add rigging and texturing here too, models aren't that useful if they don't do anything/look nice). A lot of artists are modellers too, being multi-talented is pretty useful in this industry, even though it is very teamwork-centric. That's pretty much it. I always thought it was self explanatory...
