WAR (Warhammer Online)

I built a super computer just for AoC, but I'm not too sure I care about this game anymore. let me tell you why :

First off I put all features of AoC and Warhammer aside, you know the stuff you find on their official web sites including all official video's and clips from Youtube, because all that information has nothing to do with how a game will run.......Features and playability are two seperate issues. 

AoC is using a lot of innovative marketing tricks, causing me to loose all respect for them. 

PvP weekend feels like a prop to me, and is not a good representation of the game.

NDA is still up, and most beta leaks are not painting a very good picture of AoC.  Some people say that NDA breakers are un-reliable but why ? I see it as their players that are fed up with the beta and don't care anymore. The way MMO's are being released anymore, I think I believe them more than devs.

Funcom invited several all expense paid players to AoC events and asked them to help market their product. I'm sure this is not a new strategy, but their are some that have complete control of the AoC forum including turning in NDA breakers ( The only way I can prove this is to name people, and I can't do that here ).

I look at 1-20 solo play as a way to prolong large sales at release as most will not have a good feel of the game for days, if not weeks to give good feedback.

And the fileplanet thing with pay to beta and a level cap of 13.  That's still solo content Right ?

This is all just sneaky stuff........AoC may turn out to be great, but i have a very bad feeling about this one.

Warhammer is playing it safe with the low end graphics, but I'm not too sure their that's bad, are you gonna go by Youtube clips?  Besides they can always patch in better graphics later.  LoTRo did it, they started bad and now have the best graphics to date.

As it stands before release of both AoC and Warhammer, I don't care a rats butt about features I need a game that will play. And Warhammer seems that they can focus on content, fun and a large player base remember it's an MMO.

Also remember you can't return PC mmo games.

All kids can play any game, they seem to be more selfish and get mad easier and quit groups.

They´re just a bit dumb, don´t know their role in the group and loot everything they see.

You know that Warhammer still had pre alpha footage and they use the lowest quality on videos and screenshots? Nothing has come out on the highest version of their graphics.

And one more thing, the graphics aren't cartoony, just the greenskins look cartoony, the rest of the game looks kinda real to me.

  I know a part of the WoW community isnt acting mature. But I was in a guild for 1.5 year, and I had a blast, with my guildies. Mature people will end up with each other. I think if you say that the biggest part of WoW is childish, you didnt looked far. And I dont need 10mil people in my guild. Only around 50. You can handpick those, and if you want, you can only do stuff with them, and not with pug's . And why do you judge a book by its cover? Sure the GFX arent the best ever, but I like that. Mainly  because they will be able to pull of huge fights, which wont happen with AoC because of the lag.

The fact that you can tattack a BK at anytime , but you can play mini games whenever= mini game grind no matter how they say it won t be. People who don t have as much time in a day will farm them to get their rewards and pvp xp. Then the bigger guilds will own the server , this will frusterate people. At least in WAR everything you do goes towards the war. Thank god.

I played wow in my dark past, and of course I was in a mainly adult guild, but I dont want to play only with guildmates, I like pick up groups. And in wow you had always those "I want this or I leave!!!1" people.

And you're right, graphics arent the most important part of a game, but you cant play without them. You can turn of bad sound, ignore bad people, but play without screen? And this colorful world is way to colorful for Warhammer (and I have some Warhammer Table Top boxes..)
