So perhaps if you need some truly hardcore PVP its time to start looking elsewhere...Perhaps Iraq?? Theres some real next gen pvp for you... Oh and I almost forgot ......... |

I got no problems getting beat if my guild and I are there. That is where the fun is suppose to come in. The AM ambushes are just another form of griefing for low-lifes who can't win any other way. The problem with your suggesting is wonder if the guilds are of equivalent size or they are larger? I'm not going to waste my time away playing that type game, and most reasonable people want either. I'm not saying i would never take one for the guild and do an AM ambush, if the game is setup that way. It's not gonna happen on a regular basis though. |

Originally posted by LeucentHow is it lame? And you are not setting an exact time, you set a window and given the size of the window will effect the benefits your guild gets from owning the keep. For instance (and this is totally a guess): Say you own a keep and get bonus pvp experience for it (again a guess). If you set your attack window for the keep in a 12 hour window, you get 10% bonus; a 6 hour window get you 5% and so on. Why would they implement it? Well, for one, you can prepare for it if you are the defending guild. It does make it easier on those of us with lives, wives, careers, children, etc.... But moreso for me, I am excited about the fact that if I go attack a keep, I know it will be a major fight and event. I mean how many times in DAOC did you go into a siege expecting resistance and get none! It happened a lot. We would get up at 3am and go take a keep and nobody would be there. I hated it because it was boring; and what little force did show up, got slaughtered. It made me feel like what was the point of doing it. This system insures there will be a huge battle and I love that. Also, remember these keep battles will be huge; trebuchets and siege equipment and tons of people. It won't be "army of 4 go take a keep". It will require teamwork, strategy, tactics and leadership. I think many people envision the zerg when they think of pvp due to WOW and other games. I personally think pvp in AOC will be far from that. |

im sorry but all you kids who are in favor of 24/7 vulnerability are the most worthless sonsofbitches ever. seriously? you want to be forced to stand in your city, chattin it up with NPCs, and whackin off to your succubus for hours a week? and then you expect the rest of your guild to be on call 24/7? us less worthless people around the globe have lives. these lives consist of school, jobs, sports, girls, etc. not all mmoers are like you guys. tell me, whats more fun? losing your keep in 10 minutes in a small battle because 3/4 of your guild is asleep or having a life and then taking it back in 10 more minutes the next day, or having massive, epic battles of 100 or more people for control a few times a week? |
