Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Hi guys i have to say that me and my wife have been playing now for 1 week and wow its a really fun game now.

As you know at release this game sucked but they have done wonders.

Just thought i would share this as if your thinking of playing or coming back now is the time to do so.

Also the pop is not low as people on here have said.

Nice thing about this game is lot of muture players play.

My wife who has never played mmo's is even saying that when she's at work all she thinks about is vanguard lol wish she thought about me more

Sorry it had its chance.... there are no second chances in MMO's.... tis the way it was ment to be.  Besides it looks dated already did any of you see the images of new mounts.. I can find better free 3D models on the web.

I got a copy of the Limited Ed. , unused and still in the wrap with the best buy sticker on it that said $80 off of amazon two weeks ago for $10 (The game soundtrack CD alone that comes with it was worth $10  I think) and I have been having a blast. With the graphics maxed it runs great and I have to say the landscapes go on forever and look very nice (though there are some graphic areas that need allot of help, jumping and swimming animations for instance)

I love the diplomacy card game. I find myself running all over the place trying to do those quest to collect diplomacy gear/cards/exp and then I notice hours have gone by and I have not gotten a single point of adventure exp or crafting exp.

The free for all PvP server is fun too .. though my main is not on the PvP server.

Ive played SWG, WoW, DDO, Lineage2, LotRO, Tabula Rasa, EQ2, and Im still playing CoH. Vanguard is actually a very good game. (so far as I have played it)

I'm wondering if you could tell me- have the seams in the world and the memory leaks been fixed?  I enjoyed the game very much but crashed to blue screen of death quite frequently and froze a lot when crossing chunks, sometimes for an unreasonable amount of time.  I was playing with an 8800 GTX and had some graphics issues where there would be nothing but brown lines on my screen in cities and caves.  I hope these issues have been fixed, because I want to come back.  I miss diplomacy. 

I'll come back to play when I get my letter of apology and a check for $50.00 from mcquaid.

Don't be telling people this!!  We like our little slice of heaven!  We don't want Anon showing up and muddying the waters with their l337 speak and their pissing and moaning because they can't solo a 6 dot raid mob.

Go by word of mouth, get your friends (the friends you LIKE playing computer games with) and lets keep the population growing steady, already our guild is turning people away due to having too many for raiding and what not. :)

That's totally normal for a new players.  We always remember our first MMO.   For me i had that feeling back in 99 playing Asheron's Call.

It's true, it's a good game now.

I just resubbed after around six months gone and am patching.  Will let you know how it goes.  I am hoping that having bought a new and better power source for my video card will keep the problem with the lines from happening.
