Q: If you're like me and have inspected all the files the installer has installed, tried the patcher and the client, I'm wondering what you're seeing?

When i run the patcher the patcher fails saying my "firewall" is blocking the connection. Which is bogus.

When i run the client, and try and log in with my login information created on the beta site it also screams "network errors".

Q: This "IGN" client, is modified and will only work on the 1st?

Q: Maybe I'm the only one seeing these roadblocks, are you guys seeing anything different?

Just want to make sure my client is ready to go as soon as those gates open up :)

Your client will not work until May 1st.

Great, although i asked to see what you're seeing, I know beta starts on may 1st, I want to know if you guys are seeing these firewall and network messages like I am.

I doubt you're seeing what I am seeing.  I have a different beta client, but the info for your client is readily available. 

huh, interesting.... Still though, what do you guys see? Please help me out here, if you're not seeing firewall/connection error screens then I may have a problem and just want to find out if I have that problem.

Will some kind intellegent person please run the client and the patcher and tell me what they see? I sincerely appreciate your time and effort.

After the setup goeas through which takes around 45min, I get a messaage that says "Game Explorer Registration Failed at stage 3. (HR=80004005)

Just calm down and wait till may 1st lol

Fatal error: failed to download patch information file.

That's what I see. No firewall related message

Yeah, thats what I see for the patcher. Something about a firewall/network settings when you actually try and log into the game.

don't worry pixel, i understand your frustration of starting a thread and then getting a bunch of morons to reply about unrelated crap.  I launched the patcher and i get tons of errors on that black command window, so that should be normal, when i try and launch the game and login, i get firewall issues too.  So i'm sure ur perfectly fine rigt their cuz i have bypassed all my firewalls.  I also get the fatal error with the patches. Looks like the game is ready to go on May1st though.
