WAR (Warhammer Online)

I have been looking into this MMO for quite some time and it looks pretty cool. However, my question is. Will it be just a good mmo, or something that is great and astounding that will make me want to play it every waking second.

Yea, you can produce a really good mmo and have great features but will it be great not just "good". I want to turn on this game and go "holy crap".

This is really an opinion kind of thing, plus the game still has a few months to go. Personally, yea I think it will be great!

i agree  i mean  just read up on everything and watch all the videos  and tell me you are not hyped

It has a lot of great things going for it I think, to satisfy different types of players and playstyles, and people will get to experience all the different aspects of war almost immediately out the gate -  NOT after being forced to burn through 50 levels of content to get to it. The game seems to be working hard to ensure the fun is accessible, the fighting is constant, and the scope never stops growing until your enemies capital is a smoking hole in the ground.

I am really anticipating enormous and engaging open world siege battles that make other games look like 6v6 instances in comparison. I really hope that if an open beta for WAR rolls around, that Mythic are decent enough to let people experience the sieging, as I think this is one area that they can really excel at, with an engine that supports a larger number of players on screen. You just can't have an epic battle if the engine can't support the numbers.

This is definetely a matter of opinion. The graphics won't be ultra-super next gen, but darker and nicer than some of the stuff that's out there (compare to LoTRO but as I said, darker). There's alot of great things, like PQs, RvR, and the Tome of Knowledge. Plus alot of little things Mythic puts in that rewards you for getting involed in the game, exploring it, being hungry for knowledge. I hope Mythic's had enough experience trying to balance...what, 36 different classes? They had that many in DAoC. The major downside I see, and what the trolls' prime ammo is, is that the combat is like WoW's.

Yeah. Last time I checked, WoW didn't have priests smashing people with their staffs in order for their spells to be more effective.

Basically, I think it'll be great, and if you want casual, hopefully very fun gameplay, this should be good for you. Offers something for everyone.

I personally think it'll be great.  Whether or not the entire world has the same opinion? doubtful..it'd make life way to boring if we all liked the same thing!

When I first looked at this game a few years ago....I gotta admit, I was turned off by the graphics and classes at the time. After Vanguard became the big letdown I was getting a bit tired of playing MMO's that seemed more like a full time job instead of a hobby.........so I came back to take a look at the progress they were making on WAR and thought " great looks like they're trying to bring back the meaning of a hobby with this game." The more I see the more psyched I become, can't wait to play.

Will be great for sure. I ve dabbled and can say it s the only game out there atm i ll sub to. That being said i try everything but haven t seen one i like other then WAR. Tested AOC briefly and will give it this open beta thing but can guarentee even if i like AOC i ll drop it faster then a click of a button for WAR .

No doubt, It will be great like I've said many times before it's the only MMO that has features that grabbed my attention. Let's just hope the wait doesn't drive us insane.
