Comes with the territory.  EVE is a good game and has harsh griefing by the nature of the design.  The only way to get over it is to get better.  I don't see any problem with that.

Sandbox please.

I've played eve for many years. I am what you pathetic whiney carebears call a "griefer" . I suicide mining ships and haulers in high sec daily for fun and once in a while they drop nice stuff

I do enjoy doing this very much and I don't really do it for the isk since I don't make much from doing it, but I do it for the excitement . The pathetic whining in local and hate mail I receive is a bonus. It's hilarious to hear some adult/kid screaming and whining in local and threatening me in RL.

I don't care where you are what you do you are not safe in eve and your misery actually makes me want to play this game even more. This game is about PVP and nothing is fair in eve so I don't care how you feel this game should be. I play it the way I want to play it within game mechanics and so please go on cry babies because I do it to taste your sweet tears.  I would love for someone to suicide my ships, I think it would be super hilarious.

Tomorrow I am going out with some buddies to suicide gank some faction fit mission ships.

You should check out my large stock piles of corpses too because I make sure to smart bomb the pod every chance I get.

I agree with the OP.

Im not a carebare.. I dont want to have it easy.. I dont want to be wrapped in cotton wool. But thats not to say I think its ok for retards like mercader to gank people that have done nothing wrong. I think it should be more of a reflection of a real society.

I know its just a game but it costs people their subscription and people spend a lot of time and effort to get to where they are.

Would you do that in real life? Kill someone for fun? You know in RL they lock people up for that. Or maybe killing is a bit extreme. So would you burn someone's house down? Or torch someone's car? They have worked hard to get that.. they've put in time and money. They would lock people up for that too. Its called socially unacceptable.

Natttas.. where are you from?!?! Yes society is degrading but it hasnt reached the stage yet where its socially acceptable to burn someones house or torch their car.

If your reason for killing them is not that you like to cause pain but 'for fun'? 'for excitement'? Where is the excitement in ganking some defenceless miner? The excitement of escaping from concord? In that case, why not go and attack an NPC ship?

Im going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the players that gank randomly for the fun of inflicting suffering have something wrong with them. Maybe they were abused or seriously bullied at school or something.

I am carebear and couple days i try mine in jettisons cans. And then a salvager come he then inform corp miner busy too mine with jetison cans and small frigate came. And other came too with hauler and he even did not blink for me as a miner. I had hold my 3rd account too shoot him set a lot over and somehow i still not have figured it out the ore was gone also after replacing it.

All they said was thank you, problem the secure cans are not big enough they did not evolve when the t2 barges came.

The free mining in space is passe in empire thanks too ore thiefs.

I mined there only for fun not for isk's. Safed enough from that in missions.

It's only a video game you retard. Killing you in a game =/= killing you in RL.... SERIOUSLY GET A FREAKIN GRIP.

everything you wrote is pretty wrong. I was there when WoW launched the PVP servers were overflowing. We vastly outnumbered carebear servers

But then people saw how pointless pvp was on WoW pvp servers so they moved to carebear servers. Remember at launch WoW had no world pvp objectives just endless ganking for no reward. So, leveling on a pvp server meant just more and more grind

I have 5 friends I got to play (or was it 6). 3 of them quit cause they either found the game too boring or hated time based training.

none quit caused they got ganked. None of them ever got ganked in high sec

I've played for many many months now and I've never EVER vbeen ganked in high sec

Really, you must show me the polls that CCP ask why players quit to convince me otherwise cause none of my friends ever quit due to pvp ganking in Empire its not true period

Obviously the two are not equal! Its an analogy.. in RL people work hard to earn to get their car or whatever but if it got torched it wouldnt be the end of the world and in the scheme of things it doesnt really matter.. but that doesnt mean you would go and torch someones car for fun.

In the game people work hard to get their ships and although getting their ship destroyed or getting podded isnt the end of the world and doesnt really matter.. this is the bit where I would like to say "but that doesnt mean you would go and kill someone for fun."

someone is confused about "video games" and "reality". What I do ingame has nothing to do with what I do in RL. It's called "roleplay" you should try looking it up...

<edit> And I'm on the receiving end of getitng blown up in 0.0 (I'm pretty much a miner/ratter) so even though I'm a carebear I still understand why there is loss in this game... It helps economy and there are many other benefits that you should try to sit down and think about before posting about a pvp-centric title

"A game of hatred, anger and greif"

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

Currently looking forward to Fallen Earth, Stargate Worlds, and The Agency.
