To get into beta , you  have to stay at your computer all day long,  and you still probably won't be quick enought to get a key when they come out

Why not just email random people? This is ridiculous

I love people like yourself. You REALLY REALLY do not have to stay at your computer all day. You stay at the computer all day because your have an big desire to play this game. It is still an choice of you own and it is not that FP is forcing you to do so. The world will not be gone if you do not get into Open beta, so that it easy and give you F5 button some rest.

You do not pay for the beta's as an fileplanet subscriber. They are just an "extra" so you really not gonna get screwed.

The only reason I got a paid subscription to Fileplanet was for the AOC beta. Now they are gonna screw me out of it

Hmm yes i figured out also yesterday and i did some camping and got my key.

Use the ambassador it really works.

I dont like it either. but we have no right to demand a free trial to the game before the release. thats basically what everyone is wanting.

What do you want them to do?  They have 50,000 keys and probably 10 times the amount who want to play.

If you don't get into the beta, Funcom can be the first to give you a return of your money if not satisfied.

How do they get away with not giving a guarantee ?

Solution: Get Comrade. Ya, I dont like using stupid crap like that, but I left it open and turned my speakers up real loud. Then, when the chime when I got an IM went off, I went in and sure enough they opened up more keys. I clicked the link and BAM. There was my key.

if they believe in their game it isn't much of a problem  - if they don't then it is a game to steer clear of

If you want into the fileplanet beta, sign up, and then download comrade. Comrade will send you a msg as soon as keys open. Granted you still have to be at your pc, but you dont have to be spamming the f5 button.

As for a paid beta... its not a paid beta, funcom isnt getting anything but advertising. Funcom gave Fileplanet the rights to the beta, and fileplanet is charging you 7 bucks. (unless you sign up for longer than a month, then silly you)

Many of us already had fileplanet memberships for access to exclusive betas.

The nice thing about fileplanet is download speeds and a good service. Unlike gamespot where the dl took 10 - 12 hours if you were extremely lucky, most people with top end broadband got it in under 4.

Im sorry some of you feel your getting screwed over, but beta is a priviledge not a right, and fileplanet is the industry standard for some reason atm for betas.

Tabula rasa used it, LOTRO used it, COD4 used it, Frontlines... pretty much everyone for the past 3 - 4 years has used FP to get out their betas mainly due to their network. Warhammer will do the same.

So... if you dont like FP... dont use it. If you want beta access sign up and get comrade and get your key.

A: Funcom isn't charging you anything, Fileplanet is.

B: Nowhere does Fileplanet offer any sort of money-back satisfaction garauntee. A lot of products don't.

C: They offer what they offer, they can get away with offering anything they feel like. Just like any other product on the planet. Other the other hand, you don't have to buy it, welcome to free market economics.

Clearly Funcom gave the beta to Fileplanet because Fileplanet makes it's money from subscriptions, so Funcom get's a 50,000 man stress test for free. Makes sence to me.

Funcom does not owe you anything, this beta and all beta's are for their benefit, not yours, and this model clearly benefits them. When you actually become a paying customer of Funcom (Funcom, not Fileplanet), then they will owe you something. They are not your friend, they are business selling a product.

lmao lmao gawd nothing has changed with Funcom....i did the beta for AO and it was trash to download and play......maybe they should stick to Europe......
