MMO makers please include collision. I hate running through people I''m trying to kill.

This site's obvious fixation for hating Star Wars Galaxies is not only tasteless but ridiculous.   Deleting a post that was meant to inform players that the current incarnation of SWG is NOT as bad as they make it out to be was too much for even the moderator to handle.   As far as I'm concerned your site crossed the line.   A public forum thread should be locked or moved if it gets out of hand, never deleted.   There was no flaming, not much was off topic and there were some pretty good responses from former players.    Quite frankly I find that kind of moderator behavior irresponsible and appauling.     All of you current SoE haters really need to let it go.   The game changed, there is nothing you can do about it.  Rather than enjoying what you can in the only Star Wars game online, you feel the need to put it down relentlessly.    I gave it another chance, an honest chance, and I like it.   If I can like it again I know others can as well.    If you don't even have the  mental capacity  or testicular fortitude to try it again, thats not my problem.

OM NOM MOM

There is zero free speech on a privately run forum.

If you enjoy the game then play it.  With many servers are simply dying out it seems most no longer like it.

What is the problem with SWG?

Is it the former playerbase causing marketing problems?

Is it the lack of development/communication integrity now revolving around this title?

Is it the fact that they had many more players with the original game than now?

If the game was good they would properly market it and the players would come.  Come on.  It is the only Star Wars MMO in the market and they cannot sell it.  What does that tell you?

Well, I don't know about the moderators being offended by positive feedback on SWG, but I do know that there are a great many people who loathe the NGE and the asshats who destroyed a game they loved by substituting a shoddy WoW knockoff for a pretty decent game.

And yes, I've played SWG on vet trials several times since the abortion called the NGE was foisted on us all, and the NGE still sucks rancor heinie.  I've expressed my disapproval of the changes by denying SOE and LA  the only thing they love...my money.

I will continue to speak out about this pathetic pile of code that is SWG and there is nothing you can do to stop me, just as there is nothing I can do to stop you from waxing about how wonderful the pile of bantha poodoo is.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

Playing the game solely because of an affiliation with Star Wars is worse then the justified positions of many people who refuse to support it due to the fraud committed by Lucas Arts and Sony Online Entertainment.

Beside the Wire Fraud committed by SOE and LA I suspect another reason of dissent is credited to the game being canablized to satisfy a mythical market which would have consisted of the lowest denominator of casual players who find reading too difficult.

What's unfortunate is there's still a host of good people who continue to blindly support the fraudlent acts of Sony Online Entertainment and Lucas Arts by playing Star Wars Galaxies.

There's good people playing and working on SWG but it cannot change the fact that a substanial portion of the consumer MMO market was targeted with consumer fraud.

Should I support the unscrupulous acts committed by SOE and LA by subscribing to a game I enjoyed that no longer exists or voice my dissent with my wallet?

are you trying to pull that again ?  we had that  already here and proofed you  being total  inaccurate.

Depends on what is meant by "positive feedback" OP.

Try to express something positive and we will check for valid points.

My question is why do you not use the O-Board ? you know there is a higher  chance of getting "positive feedback", why u not using it  ?  the O-board  gets cleaned  ofnegative comments and there you have a lot  of the "positive feedback" you being after. Unfortunately here is the free real  world so you can't expect that here. Tho MMorpg.com  has already done in relation too much for you "positive feedback" in here and  given  unbalanced and unjustified already much of space and room for "positiveness" ...so be happy what you get on the real world here or  search in the O-Board bubble for  your  "positiveness" needs.

 - About beeing the only Star Wars MMO, yes it is and it is part of the problem because $OE sitting on the exclusive licence and  blocks  that way a highly possible game that would get more  love from the Star Wars community.

- No if you like it don't means anyone else should like it and considering the numbers and the statements no vet really likes it ,  vets liked the former game and if they make  positive  comments about this then because

a) is the only SW MMO right now

b) are bored with other MMO

c)are temporally satisfied with some feature that getting quick old and they cancel sub again.

-The  game changed and you see how  we can absolutely  "do things", we inform  everyone about the way it got changed and about what is changed and what is taken away from an once great game.

-If we the community would let it go then who would you expect to join you ? maybe the imaginary target audience you waiting since 3 years for ? face it  there is void and null possible SWG new players outside the SWG and Star Wars community. This Community in the big part tried PRE CU and liked it and dislikes all the changes since 27.04.2005  and most quit after 15.11.2005 with the final nail in the coffin, the NGE.  The changes since then don't recover what is lost with the CU/NGE  so no point to come back.

-----MY-TERMS-OF-USE--------------------------------------------------

Everyone who logs into NGE destroys a bit of the SW Universe.

No SWG Pre-Cu, No money to the $OE suckers , simple and fair.

DON't agree to $OE 's EULA. They change the gameplay without respect your investement.

I don't know what you're smoking but mmorpg.com is one of the most pro-SOE sites on the internet.

And just for the record...I don't care if people are playing SWG and enjoying themselves but when they are obvious viral marketers then I have a problem with their posts.

I don't mind positive feedback at all.  I like to see it actually because it gives me hope somehow things will turn around with this game.  What I don't like is hype and just blatant falsehoods.  For instance, I have gone back several times and each time the population was appallingly low.  For someone then to come on and say that the servers are full or there are tons of people playing is just misleading people.

I would love the game to have more people.  But it doesn't.  I would love it if the UI and combat system weren't so awkward.  Also, the last vet trial I had I noticed quite a few times where animations were skipped or where specials didn't do anything.  This game has been out too long to have these problems, and the fault lies squarely with SOE and it's poor management team.

Don't kill the messenger.  Remember, they have lost about 200k subscribers.  You like the game and if you are sincere, that is all that should matter to you.&nbs
