I've been trying to install the game for hours now. I've downloaded the client and second file download from the free trial site and put them both in the same folder, but I can't extract the data file (not sure if I am supposed to) and the installation stops halfway telling me to insert the cd. The reason I'm even downloading the client is because I tried installing through the cds I have from years ago, but when I try to run them, it encounters an error, almost like they're not even detected. I do intend to use the trial and see if I would like to play again, but I just can't get this going. The beta launcher doesn't work for me either. Says something about the skin not being generated. Anyone have tips or could perhaps point me in the direction of an installation walkthrough of some sort? |

I had similar issues when installing it on my wifes computer. I had to shut down all the other programs that were running in MSconfig. The one that stopped her install was CTFmon.exe. Don't know why it did but after I stopped that it installed like a champ. |

If you are running Vista it might be causing issues as well. |

Extract the first file and then run the Setup.exe. I found out i had to "run as administrator" to install it on Vista. Hope that helps. |
