i did the can you play it thing, and it said i met min reqs, but failed to meet recommened specs. The only thing it told me I didnt meet was the operatings system. I run Windows 2.11, j/k. I still use xp as I wasnt thrilled about vista. Have things changed and we now need to run vista? I think i have a copy of vista 32 bit that came with my comp, but im really hesitant to pull it out unless it will really benefit me in Aoc. |

I have no idea if it was optimized for 64-bit(I havent seen that)I was merley pointing out that they failed as they recommend vista and no-where does it say 64-bit,I passed easily with 32-bit. |

Vista is slow anyway you look at it so putting it in 32 bit is going to still be slow. To go with vista for the dx10 you would want the 64bit for the spped, also that would allow you over 4 gigs of memeory. |

Not only that, but you can shut down all of Vista's system hogging when you run a game full-screen. It's not hard to do, it's basically an "I-WIN" button for bitch-slapping vista's greediness. And the reason AoC says "we recommend vista" is because Microsoft was probably like "hay guyz! i has paychek!" |

Originally posted by Vercin Yes but 1 thing not everyone would have the cash to upgrade to 64 bit and also get all new ram,not to mention not everyone's board supports over 4 gb,this game will run fine on a system with 32-bit,I dont see the need to upgrade just for the sake of it. |

Yea ofc you pass with 32-bit, 64-bit would just be better if the game was supporting 64-bit, wich I don't think it does. (you can still play it with 64-bit) |

Well there is no reason to go with XP or Vista 32-bit if you have any plans expanding your memory beyond 4GB of RAM at some point. Vista is a memory hog, so I would personally not even bother running it anything below 4GB. |
