The enemy is so dumb! They believe that WE are the enemy! - A famous orc commander. |
To all devs/fans who have seen their feeling hurted by fanatics beholding to a franchise legacy (I am such a fanatic sometimes)...
I found this funny video, portraying the fans in the worst possible light.
But it also make me laugh of a good hearth. Enjoy!

Don''t mock me my friend. It''s a condition of mental divergence. |
That was great, it was funny because there is a lot of true in that. I am not a big fanatic of keeping franchises exactly the same as they were originally, sometimes updates are required, mainly for superhereos, and sometimes there needs to be a different focus depending on what medium it is in. But there are somethings that shouldn't change, like the story for instance and core concepts, ie Resident Evil, Alice is never in the Resident evil games and at no point does anyone ever do three back flips and kick a zombie's head off, all the movies bothered me. |

Yeah, true enough we all have stories we're familiar with and when it's converted from one media to another the limits of the new media often result in 'changes'. It would be nice if the aspects that attracted us are retained, but I think all too often people get stuck on tiny alterations and blind themselves to what is often a whole new chance to enjoy the original story. Playing with fundamentals is more dangerous... but if done well can permit a new story to be developed, just take it as a new story and be careful not to lose your old copies just in case they stop printing. |
