OK i have been trying for hours to download the client since i have been accepted with no luck. I keep getting an error on the second file and I absolutely hate that i have to use the stupid gamespot download manager. I have tried so many times with no luck. I am a computer engineer and deal with unix servers mostly that control the stock market but thats neither here nor there.

My point being is that I know what im doing. I really want to participate in the pvp weekend but im getting so frustrated.

Has anyone else had these problems that has been accepted?

I just dont have the time to screw around with this and I might just wait until a month after release which is what I normally do to see the nda people give there reviews as well as the major publications.

If anyone knows of this problem I might try to fix it tommorrow but by then i will miss alot of time since the pvp weekend starts then I might just wait screw it. im so disappointed in gamespot and funcom because I know it is nothing to do with my end.

Anyway flame away if you want to but remember im a frustrated customer and I feel I have every right to feel this way as I have been waiting to try this game for years I have been following it.

Since everyone else is using this Magic Word these days:

TORRENT.

There's a Torrent up on Gamespot for the Client. Use that if you do not get good results with the GS downloader. Hope that helps a little.

FYI this is an NDA breach.

In any case, just use the torrent, and  uncheck the files you have already downloaded.  Try that out. 

Once again for iteration:

use the torrent.

I know it sounds silly but have you checked on the gamespot forums there are many fixes for issues there.

I love how loyal  people are with the NDA status on games, if people did this with piracy and lies.... ...this could be a better world...

actually on the gamespot forums it says that technical problems that have to do with the dl of the client, are not nda breaching.

Wow, are you serious?  Thats kinda funny.  Sounds like a hole in the system to me.

Actually, you are NOT a customer as you haven't paid for diddly you spongemonkey. 

I am using the gamespot dl manager now.. working perfect for me so far.. 100% on 2 .. working on  3 and 4.. cruising at a good 300kb average..
