Foreword

Hey, this game is a wonderful 2/3d game that could be enjoyed by most people of almost any age. My first impression of this game was "What the.. Such a big download for a 2d game?". This however is true, but later as I explored more of this fantastic game, more features and opportunities came towards me, which mostly explained the big file size.

Graphics

Now this is the aspect of the game most people would be "turned off" by. Although this games graphics are not the typical mmorpg's graphics, it is still fantastic. The backgrounds and armor are in the game is very detailed and nice to look at. Although the current max resolution is 1024x768, the graphics are not outstanding but are simple and elegant. This game also allows the player to play in window mode, which is very handy when your using the MWO Robot (Which I would explain about more later).

Player Vs Player (PVP)

The game is based on 2 factions/countries (Dynasty and Empire). The point is to kill characters of the opposite faction. If you were to kill a player of your own faction more than 3 (Unsure) times, you would have jail time until your "evil" points lowers.

MWO Robot

WOW, I mean, where else would you find a LEGIT, bot to level and collect items for you while your eating dinner or sleeping? This is a new feature of mmorpgs (as far as I know). This artificial intelligent bot has the ability to follow routes, attack specific monsters, auto-pot, auto sell, auto repair your items and even auto-Pker. It makes leveling a breeze, the MWO robot + window mode allows you to chat to friends, browse the web or even play another game while also leveling your character. Although this would have an impression "a dead community", this is not so, I mostly bot to level, yet I'm still playing, I'm just lazy to click and pot, so I let my robot do it while I chat to my guildies and friends.

Quests

Most mmorpg players do not like grinding, but due to the MWO Robot, grinding is not necessary (for the player, anyway). But if you do eventually get tired from the robot mindlessly killing thousands of mobs. There are hundreds of quests for all levels, never had I played a game when I actually seen so many quests. Almost every single NPC you meet will have a fun and challenging quest for you. Saying this, the quests are not your typical way of the game designers to make you grind more, an example as in "Kill 100 of these to complete quest", which is no point seeing as how you would be doing that anyway, now back to MWO. MWO's quests are fun, they have a short simple explanation of storyline for the quest and guides you how to complete it.

Life Skills

Life skills are a big part of this game and a wonderful part. There are many life skills like mining, alchemy, crafting etc etc. This allows the player to make more money while giving them a break from killing monsters all the time, the player gathers the required materials and makes it into potions, armor or even weapons.

Player Housing

This is a feature most players like to see in their mmorpgs, Although I'm not familiar with this system because I do not have a house, but after asking some people and watching some videos. The housing system allows players to purchase furniture and decorative items for their houses (Tables, chairs, beds, curtains) you name it.

Music / Sounds

This is (IMO) the downside of MWO, the background music is repetetive and gets boring. Although the sound effects when your attacking a monster is nice, but there is not much sound effects when a monster attacks you, so if your in a seperate window, you usually wouldn't know when your dying (unless you have auto-pot on)

Mounts

Although I don't have a mount (because they are quite expensive), I have seen players riding around on their cool mounts, adding stats to their players and also having a cool beast to run around on. There are a few stages in raising a mount, first when you get the egg, you must wait for it to hatch, then wait for it to grow into an adult. The feed for the mounts are quite expensive, so mounts are not quite for beginners.

Community

Although introducing a robot to do all the killing for you, would leave you thinking that the community is dead. But I cannot say this anymore . THE COMMUNITY IS GREAT. Many people use the bot to fight for them because their either lazy, or just rather talk to their guild mates. When your playing MWO, you would see a lot of people advertising their items and chatting in the country chat, and if you were in a guild (as I am), most your guild mates (unless their sleeping) would be having nice conversations in the guild chat.

Guilds

Although Im not familiar with most of this, the guild system is very extensive, you have your own area and all these amazing features that I still do not understand at the moment (So I cannot write anymore)

Classes/Jobs

There are 4 main classes to start of which branches into 2 differant "Sub" classes, totaling at 12 differant classes (Pretty sure). They are Warrior, Archer, Summoner and Mage. Each have differant looking armor, weapons and skills. When you first start off, all your skills are the same as people in your same class, but as you progress further into the game and be promoted in your class, all your skills would be varied.

Skills

Although the skills do not have high-end flashy effects like some mmorpg do, MWO's skill effects are simple and elegant, the bad thing about skills, is that you must obtain the "Skill Book" (Commonly refered as SB) first to learn that particuler skill, this causes hours/days of grinding in the same dungeon/area. But without this, the econemy would die. So all in all, the grinding is worth it.

Conclusion

If your looking for a game to dedicate yourself to, this is it, ENDLESS oppotunities to keep you playing. Although when you start off, it seems quite boring, once you hit the middle levels, you would have a lot of fun PKing and raiding dungeons killing bosses for loot. Although personally I like these graphics, many people dislike them, the gameplay would draw you in and make you forget about it. Although the MWO Robot would level you easily, the grind does start kicking in during the middle levels when you understand most of the game, this is inevitable because all mmorpg must have grind in some stage.

Well, for me, i'm problably gonna stop playing it very soon, since i see nothing worth doing in late game.

Getting lvls is a typical 'asian MMO' kind of grind. Takes ages to get anywhere near max lvl.

Then, nothing to do, except the eventual faction war, or camp newbies on the first neutral map.

well some bad points are like, the BGM and sound effects are pretty dull, but i expect theyll fix that.. the GFX arnt really "outstanding" but their still really nice i guess... and also. if your really unlucky, u might spend like a whole day botting for just a high level SB.. thats all i can think of for now.. personally, im not very high leveled atm, just around mid-high. and i find the game has alot of opportunties, theres like tones of quests, that i do and stuff,,,, and pk is f@%@ great xD.
