I posted earlier about Raid Drop Rates- thank you for posting replies, now I have a question about High- Level Instance Drops: Have they become better- more frequent- or do I have to run my toon through Sholo 200 times still? |

Depends on what item, but mostly it's about 150 times and then someone ninjas it

Astralglide: I'm now trying to answer to your questions in all 3 separate topics at once.
Some of the instance drop rates are still low, but after BC WoW has started using badge -systems. So that in addition to normal loot you'll get badges from killing bosses (at lvl 70), and those badges can be used to purchase those really good items you need. Naturally still sometime you'll find yourself waiting for some specific items to drop, but that badge system often offers you good items. And since badge drops from bosses are quaranteened, you won't have to run an instance 50 times for some elusive piece of equipment to drop only to lose it while rolling. The end-game raiding is a bit easier to organize than it was at lvl 60, since the raid sizes have been redused. But you'll still end up running a raid dungeon time after time after time. Even tough I think it's a bit less tedious now with BC out than it was before BC. If you like to PvP, the great addition with BC is that you won't have to run those raid instances to get the best loot for PvPing any more. You can collect honor points (and arena points), and get the best items just by PvPing. And since there isn't the old ranking system any more, you won't have to PvP more than everyone else to get the good things, you can collect points and purchace PvP rewards at your own pace. |
