if this game has better graphics then wow(I think it will have) then you'll need a powerfull machine to run it, if you really want to experience the graphics.

otherwise setting it to lower resolution and lowering some detail should work fine on most computers.

So as some1 said I think we're all in for a big surprise on the requirements part.

A. You don't really have this set up or...

B. You're an idiot or....

C. A little of both

Why would someone with enough money for that rig play at 1024x768?  Thats just damned retarded.

I could run WOW at 1920x1200 with all settings maxxed on a single card no sweat.

Exactly, what I was thinking...

ONe 8800GTS G92 is overkill at that resolution, let alone two.

Better question is why is the CPU underclocked??

Forum pvp ftw!!!

Short answer...yes...They require a 512 MB DirectX 9.0c Graphics Card with Shader 2.0 support for recommended settings. For minimum you probably dont need to upgrade at all.

The long answer is that its dependent on alot more than that. You will need a relatively fast motherboard(I run ASUS P5N32 SLI Premium). Its a very good motherboard when it comes to speed but has some stability issues. You can avoid those with running M$ standard drivers(Nvidias suck monkeyballs). If you want to run dx10 you'll need Vista. And for that I recommend atleast 3gb ram. Buy the fast ones, around 400mhz+. If you want the really speedy ones, and got the $$$ for it, go for DDR3 800mhz ram bricks and make sure the mobo support them. Thats highend though. Actually, when I come to think of it, there is a website for those kinda questions. It require that you got a complete system running though, but gives some relatively good suggestions for upgrades, Clicky!!!

ok you can take my word for it because i use an 8600 gt card yes this game runs on it . i  ve tested it today . it does nt take the huge spec machines people are talking about . it even runs on 1 gb of ram ... but you would want to upgrade that for smoothness of gameplay .

a lot of what your hearing about the high specs of this game in forums are absolute trash . just spend maybe 25 pounds aprox 40 dollars on 2 gb extra ram for your pc and you ll have no problem what so ever playing this game .

i cant run vanguard well on my pc but this runs ok .

sorry to bump/necro/whatever this thread, but Im wondering if people have a better view of this situation now seeing as lots of people have been in 2 mini betas and early access.

Im wondering what it would be like running on 3gb ddr2,e6600 core 2 DUO processor and a 512mb 8600GT? doesnt have to be ultra high bells and whistles maximum settings resolution or anything like that, just smooth performance and little system lag.

opinions?

Never try to teach a pig to sing,it wastes your time and annoys the pig.

Well, I run it on a Pentium D 3.2 ghz, 2 gigs of ram and a 7950GT.  Runs pretty well on medium settings with a few things tweaked up a bit.  Not as smooth as say, LOTRO or EQ2 but more than playable.
