I've heard almost nothing but good things about Perfect World. The only negative things I've really heard about it is that the English version is hosted in Malaysia and therefore very laggy. But according to the Wikipedia entry for Perfect World they're supposed to be coming out with an international server with the express goal of reducing lag for North American and European players. Does anyone have any idea when this international server is coming out? |

I was in the closed-open beta of the malaysian server. The game does indeed look fantastic but the battlesystem sucks. Anyway I wouldn't hold my breath on US servers. Last I heard of malaysian PW there was a bot problem and most early players left because of that and lack of quests which results in alot of grinding.

According to that the international version is supposed to be coming in 2007 or 2008. As it's already a bit late for 2007, maybe it'll come sometime this year. |

The game is in open beta..and still being shaped and created. Shows a lot of promise though. |
