Your current players are your foundation for future success.

Buy new expansion (rage of the wookies) that gives you access to new loot: a few months later, item disabled.

Buy new expansion (Trials of ObiWan) to get new creatures to tame: 2 weeks later, profession that tames creatures deleted.

Buy new expansion ToOW and get items for other professions: those professions also deleted.

Get loot in expansion that modifies combat attributes: combat attributes then removed from game 2 weeks later.

Quest for a year or more to unlock jedi: jedi unlock and all quests related to this deleted from the game.

Buy armour in the game for a few million: next day can't wear any of it due to new armour certification for professions.

Get veteran reward for loyalty to the game: veteran reward converted into something with little value to begin with and then no value at all when respec npcs are introduced.

All levels deleted when first using the respec npc "gift" to players, due to game breaking bug.  CSR's initially refuse to restore levels, then eventually relent due to pressure.

Purchase or craft material needed for buffs: game change renders all that crafted material useless, all time and credits now wasted.  Buffs no longer require these crafted items.

Told by CSRs that the only way you can get an ITV is to buy the starter kit: after saying this, ITV's become available to others ingame.

Spend millions on material and hours on crafting and setting up your guild mall: crafting items become useless with superior loot in the NGE.

Spend years finding and taming creatures: creatures locked away from players that can only see them, but not interact with them for 2 years.  Now they're available once again, but need to be raised from eggs.

Years spent building communities and cities based on previous game mechanics: cities and guilds emptied as a result of unexpected and unwanted changes to core game mechanics.

SOE, do you really wonder why people don't want to play your game or give you their money?

Feel free to add other examples of ways SOE has removed items, features, progress, or sold you something in an expansion that was later rendered useless.

Lets not forget that a lot of people were holocron grinding or grinding the village to get Jedi only to have all that work spat on by making jedi a starting profession with NGE.

I was sad to see TEF gone but all the forum crybabies got rid of that and they even stopped decay from happening in the NGE too. I can't stand game forums just full of people who want everything to be easy and when they die they start crying about it.

I understand people's frustration with SOE and SWG.  I was one of those vets who went through all the crap from launch until about 6 months after NGE was released, then I quit.   I am just as disapointed in SOE as anyone.

However, isn't it about time we just let it all go.   Get over it, put our energy into helping build up some other game community of some other game instead of continuing to tear down SOE and SWG?   Hey, they screwed up...and badly.....but there comes a time when you just have to accept the mistakes that's been made and focus on the future.    I just don't see any purpose in continuing to gripe about SWG when you know they really don't give a damn about what people say.

Mate if you don't have what it takes to stay the course so be it , but we should never "accept" being screwed over and it is never to late for justice .

To be fair they did make the Pre-CU game which you obviously loved, without them you wouldnt have had it at all. You should let it go because not letting it go doesnt achieve anything since every MMO company knows (many times over) that to make a mistake like the NGE is idiotic and doesnt work.
