Open beta will take place soon...but again no official word outside of it being not entirely 'open' (have to register thru a partner site like FilePlanet with the single goal of collecting information)

The very title of this threads demonstrates a monumental ignorance of MMO history on the OP part. There is no way Funcom could even begin to approach the unmitigated level of fail that was Vanguard.

After looking into some statistics....

there is no way AOC will flop....regardless how bad the game might be according to the many  views the basic underlying principle will remain.

Players will succumb to the current state of the MMO Industry and Buy the game....they will make their money just like every other title that launched.

months down the road subscriptions might rise and fall but  in the end AOC made the money and the flow of funds will continue just like so many other games that are still alive today.

If the Plug hasn't been pulled from D&L then how the hell can AOC fail?

It's time to wake up and take notice that unless gamers start voicing their opinions with their wallets Nothing will ever flop.

But hey SWG is a flop post-NGE.....:P

Not to forget that there's going to be a 15,000 player invite for pvp for the 18th-20th.....

The 18th through 20th are to test the pvp only and is limited to a couple arears. The crafting and pvp are very suspect, and not alot of time left. Hence no open beta, No lifting of NDA
