Heres to hoping its a PC-exclusive. Epic is usually really good at making a good looking game but keeping the specs low. Also its cool they are using GROME. A few of the A-List MMOs coming out in 2009 will be using this technology. It seems like the better of the 3 Large Terrain Technologies. That is after all the legal stuff one of them had to go through. |

Unreal has had a checkered past as an MMO platform. There is really only a single success, and that is with Lineage 2, using the Unreal 2 engine. We have some troubled launches as well with Vanguard using Unreal 2.5 And we have some very troubled development games with Huxley and SUN and others using the platform.
I love the Unreal Platform for the games using it in its created capacity, but the expansion to include an MMO has yet to show me its really a smart choice. |

Just for the record, it's not developed by epic games, it developed by Starvault, a swedish developerteam. |

It doesnt matter how the games that use a certain graphic engine perform financially. You can make decent looking games without an out of date engine as well as awful looking games with an engine that has everything and all performance you can ever ask for. And thats only the graphics. Everything else about the game doesnt depend upon the engine at all. |

failfall all over again.. that game forum is full of some hardcore pvp kids who never will understand what mmo is.. full loot and such, posts like that make me sick, why would you play game where you can loose everything in 20s,
you wouldnt, that game doesnt deserve to be listed here.. there are way too many new games poping out with that retarded " full pvp pro combat system shit and we are uber cool msg " yet to see single full pvp game who gets even close to be world class game.. ehm lineage ? guild wars? both known.. but nowhere as close to pve games such as eq or wow..
super mega pvp kill everyone loot everyone, might sound good for random cs playing kid, but its not those ppl who pay for those games. i mean wow have 90% of its players who pvp cuz its easy to get those shiny epics.. im sure 85% of those would quit any full pvp full loot game. like darfall.. which will never come out.. anyway or this new one.. mortal online after 2 months.. when you loose ur gear 5 times in row.. |
