I read this forum every day and i can tell you it is useless. Some people are bashing the game, some are defending it with broken promises made by the devs. The info is horrible, it is the same promises than 3 years ago. As for me, i believe Darkfall is just a hoax to study human addiction behaviors or some scam to steal money from their investors.

If you dont want to follow darkfall or if you dont want to play darkfall or if you want darkfall to fail, cool but dont come to the forums that are here for Darkfall fans and follows and post your opionions without backing them up with facts.

Nobody has any facts to back them up expect the fans because we can link Developer logs, which for some reason you haters shoot down with no facts.

I am sorry you have no lifes or nothing better to do then bash a game you dont want to play and if you do want to play, then why would you being bashing the game?  If you are a so called follow of Darkfall why do you bash it, call it vaporware.

Another question that none of you bashers can answer is

Why do the Darkfall Developers have to everything the other companies do?  Why do they have to follow the Tried and True format for releasing a game?  Why cant they do what they want as long as they make a great game?

I will bet you anything you want that when Darkfall comes out, NONE of you haters will make a public thread saying you were wrong and sorry.

I know I will if darkfall gets canceled.  I will post that you haters were right, I was wrong.

It really pisses me off that Darkfall (Coming out tommorow or ten years from now) gets this type of post. But games like "Shadow of Legend" where the sad developers make forum posts and extra accounts to make the hype high, are still allowed to continue on.

I'll follow Darkfall again when the devs do something they say they will. I gave up after putting in for the 2005 beta and having it not happen for the third time. I think the Darkfall has earned the hard time it gets.

Honestly, I might play Darkfall if it ever comes out and is good, but I'll not be waiting on it, either.

If i would know  for 100% that OP and similar  folks would stay away from DF and had a guarantee about that ...  i would sign  ...

I also do NOT want Darkfall to fail. I would actually very much like to play the game they are saying is being made. I just happen to think there is some odd goings on that have given me much doubt as to whether this game is actually being made. I don't feel that I bash the game, or it's developers, I just give my opinion on the readily available facts.

As for the Darkfall devs having to do everything other devs do....they don't. But alot of the reasons they give for not allowing journalists hands-on time with the game, or even to do a preview on the game, and get free publicity is just plain nonsensical. They say they don't have the money to launch ad campaigns, that's fine, but the fact is that they don't have to pay for any advertising b/c game get sooo much FREE advertising via game publications and websites. Please, tell me why they wouldn't want to get their game in front of as many people as possible, for free, through no, or very little, effort on their parts?

And actually, I have said many times that if I am wrong, and Darkfall is ever released I will most assuredly come and say that I was wrong in between my sessions spent in the game.

All that being said, this debate is going to rage on at least until the devs wake up and allow a reputable, 3rd party get their hands on their game, or it is released. If you don't want to take part in this discussion anymore, then just ignore it, that is your right. Just as it is your right to talk about how excited you are for the game to be released.

Now, as for the actual topic of this thread...I don't think it should be delisted. There really is no solid proof that it is, or isn't, actually being developed and all we have is the word of the devs. So, until a time when it is actually shown that the whole thing isn't really being developed, or it is released, then it should stay listed on the site.

I do not believe Darkfall should be removed from MMORPG.COM at this point. The truth of the matter is, Darkfall generates traffic for the site. HOWEVER, if it ever comes to the point where the developers accept orders before having a public beta, Darkfall should be removed immediately from the site. It's one thing to keep the forum around for traffic and laughs; it's another thing to allow the developers to take advantage of a naive audience.

It was because it would ahave hurt darkfall more than it would have helped it at that point in time

Why read the Darkfall forum so often if you dont like it?

And just because the OP dont like small indie developers doesnt mean some others do! Why not remove the WoW forum instead? Thay have been around for years and still we havent seen any proof of good gameplay!
