They ruined the game you loved,but how long ago was that now?

Honestly wars have lasted less time,do you really want to be on your death bed still asking why they did it?

Anyway I myself did play swg many a moon ago and I really hope the new bioware title is indeed a new star wars mmo,but I wont waste my life bitching on what was and still should be,Thats for sure!

I still care because i gave SOE around $2000.00 of my money over the course of three-four years playing a game i loved dearly. As a community us vets begged SOE to roll back, started petitions, polls, threads and made as much noise as we could. SOE (SMEDLY) heard and decided to not listen and asumed we would just come back like most did after CU.

We know SOE heard us and the blatently ignored us!

I feel as if Smedlys boss knew or understood what actually happened Smedly would be canned in an instant. Since then all the response from SOE have been cover ups/ lies about subs and snide remarks towards the veteran coomunity.

Also lets not forget Tiggs. A community manager who stuck up for the SWG community (mainly us Vets) and lost her job because of it. I did not know Tiggs personally or even through the forums but have been told by members of the community who knew her what happened. I also have read her blog about it.

If you grinded a pre cu Jedi you would understand why we are still talking about this! I doubt ill ever purchase a SOE product let alone a Sony product again.

I want it shutdown because that means SOE failed and lost a ton of money as a result of screwing myself and many other loyal customers over.

Because I was misled, not once but twice.  I was told the "CU was here to stay"...  So I adapted to it.  I saw it finally getting good with the expansion and the promised profession revamps.

Then we got the NGE...

How did someone put it... something like "the NGE is a festering boil on the backside of the MMO genre."  Some people are so disgusted with it, they won't rest until it's lanced.  I'm not in that camp exactly, but it does look an awful lot like ass-boil to me.

I want SWG to die just due to principle. I am a stern supporter in capitalism and I believe that a community of players like ourselves taking down a corrupt company like SOE and their 2nd rate (at best) product is the perfect example of the consumer base standing up for itself. Somebody should write a editorial or twelve about this...

I heard they were having a problem with charge backs.  I wonder if this is in response to certain credit card policies regarding this practice.

It is related to that.

SOE seems to have more problems with this than any other publisher.  Which tells me that, like the rest of SOE, apparently their procedures for accepting cards and documenting transactions is lacking or shoddy.

You can defend yourself against chargebacks by having solid documentation.

But like a mafia operation, it seems SOE never documents anything.  Not even whole game systems.
