wont sell well on the PC? all my local gaming stores (for once) are smothered in pre-orders for an MMO (obviously the Burning Crusade was huge but my local stores tend to stay away from MMO's). As for the 360 i think it will sell well because its the first modern MMO on the machine (FF is good but sometimes those graphics can really hurt your eyes :P) many (younger) people will flock to it due to the decent graphics.
i hope both 360 and PC users can play together on the servers and i look forward to the release. MMO wish list: -Changeable worlds |

Whoa, 360 will pwn the PC! Wait that would be like Microsoft would pwn his own systems?
Don't worry about it dude. I think it will come out in 2 years for the Xbox lol

Last time I checked EBGames it was slated for a September release for 360, I don't know where this "released when the expansion is released" stuff came from. You don't usually plan an expansion before you launch the initial product, if so, that is retarded. |

I think that what nobody realizes, is that the OP is probably regretting starting this thread. For he surely must realize he got caught with his pants down and bent over. |

Wouldn't the idea of testing this game purposefully with areas walled off possibly lead to issues later in those areas not tested? Does anyone remember falling through the world in Vanguard? I did plenty of times when I decided to go "exploring". I understand focused testing, but it seems to be a bit late in the game to leave large chunks of the world untested at this point with little or no inhabitants or purpose. |

Its being made for the PC, but with only 4 types or attacks (In general I think) it might me more fun on a console... I prefer button bashing for computer! With a bit of button variety. ___________________ |

There was a video released about 3-4 months back that stated the PC version would get an expansion release to bring its graphics upto part with the 360 version when the 360 version is released. |

Originally posted by wolfr3 No, not at all. When you play this game, i want you to tell me whether the game is at its highest of what an MMO can do, potential wise. Size wise. ---------------------------- |

Originally posted by MrTumN3sFuncom has said this is a multi-platform game but has also said that the X-Box version will be out at least "12 months" after the PC version and thats a "rough estimate". Just Google it and you will find it. Trust me, you do not develop a game for the platform that you launch on a year after the game inititally launches. The game is without a doubt being developed for the PC first and foremost. Unlike Final Fantasy XI, that launched on the PS2 LONG before the PC version came out. And as far as your invisible wall comment.....you said it yourself - "speculation". You have no proof and nor do I. We just have to wait and see. And I disagree with you on "massive" and what the X-box can handle - but massive is a subjective term and not worth arguing over. |

Sorry to say it, but that makes you about the most untrustworthy person on these forums. As well as unethical. Everything you say or post about the game is now totally worthless in my mind and I will now disregard it.
Good day. |

Originally posted by Zakavar Yes and if I remember right it was basicly a PS2 MMO ported to the PC for north american release? FFXI was one of the better MMO's I've played.. bit to grindy for my tastes.. but very good game. Actually being able to do most everything with a PC Gamepad.. I really liked that. Other than talking to people I could just recline back. Being developed for XBox360 or ported.. really doesn't affect my decision to buy the game. Tho I won't buy an Xbox360... but that's a different story (not a console person)

Point is, stop trying to act like such a hardass, even on the internet people respect a man who can admit when hes wrong. I was actually thinking at the start of this thread after averys posts you were going to settle down and back offf, but instead you decided to act like a tough guy.
BTW arent you the guy who was saying just a couple of weeks ago how WoW should be developed on the 360, and started praising its good name like some sort of God?

Originally posted by jiveturkey12 Nope, can't say that was me. You can check my posts if you'd like. I respect AmazingAvery, i just don't like losing arguments. Its a pet peef of mine if people think their "above the law" and better than everyone else. I dislike people who have a lot of information and can topple over whatever i say. Nearly 80 percent of what i post is either theoretical, for fun, opinion, demand question, suggestive question, or trying to defend what i said, whether it be right or wrong. Amazing Avery knows his stuff on this game, much more than i do. I just dont like how today he decides to write all over my posts. Especially when i make a mistake with the word photo and screenshot. ---------------------------- |

Originally posted by MrTumN3s No it wasn't. AoC was supposed to be the premier game to show off Direct X 10 along with Crysis. It just went through a lot of major delays and should have came out a few months after Vista Release. Xbox 360 is a secondary market. This game in no way, was specifically designed for 360. It's hard to imagine it trying to handle this game, Red Ring of Death is probably going to happen to a lot more people.
